Very simple to do yourself, just download NifScope (If you don't already have it) then open up the mesh for the armor in it. Then, rightclick what you want to remove (IE top, arms, hands, and feet) then you'll have the greaves left in this example. Then, go to wherever you have NifScope (best to make shortcut) and open it again. Open something else (ex: daedric greaves; you'd need to unpack the .bsa for this though), open the window with your one thing left in it. Right click it, go to Branches, then Copy Branch. Then, go into the other window, and right click Scene Root (or whatever its called for that mesh; the daedric greaves window one) and click Branches then Paste Branch. Then delete the original by right-clicking in the render. You'll have the rigging left, and then repeat for the rest of the armor, using the same kind of armor piece for each. (IE. Hands/gloves/gauntlets for gauntlets, top for cuirass, boots for shoes/feet, etc) I'll assume that the hat or helmet or whatever would be seperate so you can see your hands in first-person. I've found this method works for me, but I can't guarantee it, because it hasn't worked everytime.

P.S.

Bumping isn't allowed :D

Yeah, I have no idea what you are talking about with most of that. I've never done anything like it and I'm sure I wouldn't be able to do it. Also, sorry I didn't realize bumping wasn't allowed.

You know, there's a button you can press to modify your comments instead of double-posting.

Perhaps the way LordFrostcraig described the method of removing parts may have been a bit confusing, so I'll explain the most simple method in dot points. It's insanely easy; even the noobiest of noob modders can do this. All you're doing is clicking your mouse a few times.

  1. Open the mesh in Nifskope by simply double-clicking on it (provided you have NifSkope installed, otherwise read this thread by mbass- top of the first post only)
  2. Right-click on any part of the mesh you DO NOT want to keep, choose Block, then Remove Branch
  3. Wash, rinse and repeat for every other part of the mesh you don't want
  4. Save
  5. Done.

Ok I appreciate the help immensely, but I still cant get it to work completely. I can remove the 'mesh' parts fine. However, when I try to fit other armor on in the place of what I remove, the greaves come off. Basically it's acting as if its a full armor suit but not showing. Can anyone help?

EDIT: Also, when I remove the gloves from the mesh the hands disappear. I haven't touched the hand mesh though, i dont think.

EDIT 2: Ok, I've figured out how to change it so I can fit other stuff through the editor. However, when I fit the greaves that I've created it completely messes up the upper body mesh to the point where there are now 4 breasts and her arm texture flickers. Any ideas what I did wrong?

EDIT 3: I had to remove the body mesh from the original and as a result the buttox was removed from inbetween the panty part and chaps. To fix that I copied the mesh from an existing HGEC lower body mesh. Now I have flicker where the skin of the lower body mesh overlaps with the chaps. I wish I knew how to kind of paste OVER another mesh. I just can't seem to figure this out. I would really appreciate some help.

Thanks

An armor model should only have geometry over areas of the body that it will be equipped to. If your greaves have upper body geometry, but they do not take up the upper body slot, your character's body AND the mesh's upper body model will appear.

You have flickering textures and mutliple body parts because there are two upper bodies on top of each other.
