Shark225
File attached. I did not test it or anything, I just separated the body into two parts, and then made two .nifs. There's a good chance something messed up during the export, but it should work. Ok, not sure where to grab that attachment from? Thank you so much though. Hmm I tried it out but that's not going to work properly. It's great except for the fact that the lower part doesn't match up with the upper body of HGEC. It was cut off at a certain point. Could you maybe tell me how to work the program you used? Or try and match it up with the HGEC body?
Genzel
I can line it up with HGEC, and you want the top of the body then alligned with the lower? Unless the topology is the same as HGEC, it might look distorted at the seam. I will start on it tomorrow.
Shark225
Thank you. Yeah the lower portion that you had worked on just stops at a certain point, then there is simply nothing until the upper body begins. Thanks so much though!
Shark225
Btw if it makes your job easier, that file that I linked on the first or second page links up with the upper body perfectly. Thanks!
Genzel
Take two: http://www.filedropper.com/nkcgbrownseparate The lower body actually is HGEC, so I just split the mesh where the HGEC seam is. I can't imagine any problems this time.
Shark225
Hmmm. I see the mesh. I copy the mesh. But when I load the game, everything is invisible, like the legs dont exist. Nothing else has changed. Any ideas?
Genzel
It means either there is no normal map, which there is, or something is wrong with bones and weights. I did not change the bones or weights in any way, all the meshes are parented to the scene root, and they all have weights, so I can tell what the problem is. I will continue to try and fix this though. I am going to re-parent everything to a new max compatibility skeleton and see it that works, but I can't work on it right this moment.Sorry this is taking so long  Edited February 5, 2011 by Genzel

Genzel
Attempt three: http://www.filedropper.com/nkcgbrownseparate_1I always have the worst luck working with armor, even if I do everything the same way every time, things only work sometimes
