Ranged weapon realism mod

you're right about looting - and that's why am i making this mod.

if wasteland is wasteland and it's so hard to find anything usefull as Easy Pete is saying (after all he's senior prospector , aye ? ; ) why there's so abundance of everything ?

I'd like to know how to make NPC loot (wow, that's something) - if you can check it out (the name of the mod), please do and tell me here. anyway i'm reducin' stuff on a lowest levels so there won't be lying dead enemies with loot becasue

loot itself is dimished to mostly junk.

other thing is NPC use ammo parameter is set in MAD mod so they do use thier ammo, and with my mod the lucky ones with rifles in most cases will have few shots!

ps. also, please check what mod causes AI to be more tactical in combat ! are you taking about Arwens mod or ABARM ? i'd really like to know.

actually, all the mods i was talking about are for Fallout 3, not New Vegas

so it can't be any New Vegas mod (though there may be a few New Vegas mods with the same functions, but none that i am aware of)

also, are you asking how to make NPCs loot dead NPCs??

i'm not exactly sure how, but i know that MMM does this (and there would probably be a New Vegas version soon enough)

if you are looking for more ideas, there are also a few other things that may be great to add

first would be weighted ammo

no longer will you go with thousands of rounds on you, without flinching at all

maybe even weight the bottlecaps, which will make this even more realistic (have you ever tried to walk with a few thousand bottlecaps in your pocket?? i thought so )

also, i don't recall if you mentioned this, but merchants should be quite serious when it comes to selling their stuff (or buying new stuff)

so i guess that getting less money for selling stuff, and paying more for new stuff is a welcome thing (combine this with a mod that makes gambling worth doing, while still getting banned at some point, will make money more harder and more fun to make)

the thing is, most mods i know are for Fallout 3, and i don't really know how they were made, but i guess that i could try and ask the creators of these mods for you, if you would like that

i'd love to! :)

especcially npc loot other npc(!!!) and better tactics AI for npc.

other things are allready made for FNV so there's no sense doing them again (i.e. expensive wasteland - prices x 10 - one of my favs! and ammo weights by default in hardcore mode in FNV)

well, i never tried hardcore mode, so i wasn't sure what functions it has, but if you think that the weighted ammo there is good enough (meaning that it's rather realistic) then it's not worth redoing (unless you want this function to be, regardless of hardcore mode)

and as i said, i don't know many of the New Vegas mods, so i'm sure many of these things were done, at least to some extent

well, i'll try contacting the modders of the mods i suspect have these functions, and see if i can get any information, but don't get your hopes up quite so fast

i can't promise any results for now

THis mod will be the shiitt :).

I can't stop playing it heh... I've just made my favorite Fallout game :)

So anyway about the armor part before - armor works great with MAD, which is :

you are still easily killed with guns (as far as it goes for Metal Armor with DT 12) - like it was in late middleages when arqubusiers started shooting the heavy armor plate knights out ;) - BUT

you are better protected from melee attacks and unarmed attacks, which - remember - is the soil of this mod.

----

Please, if you know where are the guns or ammo in big quantities in game just lying there like there's a WW2 and asking to be removed, point me there (interior, exterior, describe the weapon/ammo and place). THanks

As soon as I finish sniffing every cell in the game , or at least most of the cells.

The container inventory and NPC inventory are mostly complete (besides more advanced characters). Well , I could allways publish pre-release version, which will be later upgraded as soon as i finish.

I could think about it.

And I probably won't make any changes to the game (which are essential to my mod) which are allready nicely done in other mods.

Mod installation is easy and quick, so I see no problem why not install i.e. 8 mods, instead copying the very same and tested good solutions from other mods.

Anyway a near-realease version could/shoud be released in 2 weeks more or less.

BTW.Thanks for your support :)
