shushiboi
Hello everyone! I was hoping to see if anyone would be interested in making a mod where the NCR Ranger's armors from New Vegas would be changed to a different looking armor such as this one:http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/4223/rangercombatarmor1.pnghttp://modgames.net/_ld/192/08720196.jpg Personally I like the coat but to make the game seem more immersive I thought that it would be a good idea to have some rangers wear the coat whereas other don't. I thought that this idea would go good with mods like the NCR Armor Overhaul mod for example! The original mod is from Mastiff_Jean and he can be contacted through nexushttp://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?showuser=12345914http://modgames.net/load/fallout_new_vegas/bronja/bronja_prizrak/94-1-0-19281 Thank you everyone for your time, and if you know someone who might be interested in a mod like this one, please pass on the word  ! Again thank you and have a great day! =====================UPDATE=====================I found someone else who did a similar job, here it is;http://static-6.nexusmods.com/15/mods/130/images/44970-1-1324546968.pnghttp://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44970/? - Shushi Edited June 11, 2015 by shushiboi
devinpatterson
I'm working a bit on a project that includes several variations of RiotGear (hermes?) type armor. It will include; unique variations; the south will rise again & don't mess with Texas. paramilitary; texas ranger using real Texas Rangers Special Operations color schemes and emblems.....the origin of desert rangers. LVMPD (Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department). Military; at least army & marines for select corps of light infantry and special forces Post apocalyptic; For example NCR rangers returning from the Baja campaign with a "The Good, bad and the ugly" mexican themed poncho outfit. Probably others will come to mind as I start messing around with them. Anyway thanks to geonox it's pretty easy to work with the armor without the duster and jeans, and of course with LR we have expanded models. I'm not sure you will find someone to make teh *exact* representation you have in your first pic, but with a mashup of the stealth suite MK II (the breastplate, some other pieces), riot gear & maybe a bit of the chinese stealth suit, I bet you could get pretty close aproximation without a ton of work. shushiboi
That is very true! Thank you devinpatterson for your response, I will keep that in mind when I go and edit the ranger's armor. :D
shushiboi
Oh and Devin, how would one go about after I change the armors of the Rangers, how do I make some of them wear the coat and others not? (like a 1/2 ratio of some wearing the coat) Does the geck allow you to do this or is there another program that I have to look into? Aside from that I'll look forward to your project! Thanks again! devinpatterson
Does the geck allow you to do this or is there another program that I have to look into? The geck allows you to edit a NPC form's inventory. Likely there is a leveled Item formlist or two with ranger equipment that you could tap into and you could probably even write a script to swap out items from references. But that's all pretty standard stuff the geck lets you do.
devinpatterson
BTW if you havn't used blender/3Ds max before you may find it a bit daunting. If so give me a shout, I might have time to do the armor mash up for you. No promises, it will just depend on motivation, time etc.

I understand that you might be busy so I don't want you to feel obligated in any way. I completely understand your situation man and I don't want to add to your plate. This will be definitely resolved :)

shushiboi
OK I'll try mucking around with it a bit. Hey Devin, I know this is a little off topic, but if you still play Fallout 3 you should definitely check out this new New York Mod called "The Big Apple". It is now up for download on the nexus website with quests and new great things, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! :D :DVideo sample:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3GO52qhhzwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPqomajMHdw Mod itself:http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21335/?http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21380/?
