novashadows
Fairly new to Fallout modding (some previous NMM experiance with Skyrim). But to keep it short, every time that I start the game, the main menu is blocked by an "ERROR - There seems to be a problem with your Project Nevada installation because the hud extensions were not detected." I have tried re-installing the mod, using FOMM, downloading various patches reccomended in other forums and following numerous guides to get it properly working, yet here I sit still attempting to even get to New Vegas' main menu. Any help or tips would be very appericated! :)
AngryFishie000
I am having a similar issue. I've downloaded the script extender about four (4) times now and when I load the game with project Nevada it says NSVE is still needed to run properly. modder3434
@Novashadows - check that you have all the required utlitles needed to play Project Nevada, and that they ae installed properly. Jumping straight into installing a mod of that magnitude without any prior experiance with manuel installation is also part of the problem, brush up on the basics. @AngryFishie000 - it could be a bug, but I'm gonna bet money that you installed it wrong. Download either 7Ziup or Winrar you need it to open compressed files, as most mods are compressed for download speed and space. 1. download NVSE from its website (Google it) 2. Open the downloaded file from where you put it with 7Zip or Winrar (default location is "Downloads") 3. Copy what appears when you open it and drag it all onto tyour desktop 4.Open your Fallout New Vegas folder, default: C//:drive/programs (or programs(x64) if you have that)/Steam/Steamapps/common/Fallout New Vegas 5. copy the .dll files from your desktop into the open Fallout New Vegas folder (you should see the data folder and the laucher) 6. copy the exe into the same place as step 5 7. create a shortcut of the exe to the desktop, and run the exe 8.new vegas starts up 9. profit. also in case you missed it, from the NVSE website Installation1. Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Fallout NV directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder under Steam\SteamApps\common\fallout new vegas\. If you see files named FalloutNV.exe and FalloutNVLauncher.exe, this is the correct folder. Do not copy these files to the Data folder as with a normal mod.2. Launch NV via running nvse_loader.exe. Enabling the Steam Community option (enabled by default) will allow you to launch the game via Steam's standard UI.
