naixz555 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 So I just bought the Elder Scrolls Anthology and downloaded the games threw steam. Morrowind runs perfectly find, Oblivion wont load passed the main menu and Skyrim gives me this message "Initialize error Unknown error creating the Renderer.Now I have done my research on the net, and I have updated my drivers, configured my speaker settings, I have configured my resolution in skyrim.prefs, I can't figure out how to disable my crossfire fps, and I have restarted my computer.The game will only run in windowed mode, but is there a way I can make the screen any bigger? Its so small I could only play it like that if I was mushrooms. I'm also new to pc gamimg so I'm learning my way around the computer. But someone please help me
jones177 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Skyrim needs to know the aspect ratio as well as the resolution or you will get a rendering error message. Use the startup menu (graphic options) instead of the ini. switch widowed mode off & show all resolutions on. With my GTX 980 & UHD monitor I can run Skyrim at 2560 X 1440 but not 2560 X 1600 even though it is in the menu. Sometimes this menu will get goofy & not show all the ratios & resolutions for your monitor-card setup. Just switch it on & off a few times & it will. Later
