ZealotNick
The mod isn't on this site but im supposed to use FOMM to install it, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2l_5z-I6hrk It says checkmark the ESP file in the FOMM but it's not even showing up in there for some reason. So I can't do the proper load order.
WastelandAssassin
well, do you know how to install mods at all??if so, which way is this installed, manual or fomod??if it's manual, and you don't see the plugin in FOMM, then you probably extracted the contents to the wrong foldermake sure that the esp is inside your data folder

WastelandAssassin
well, a fomod installation is actually very easy, but i wouldn't recommend to do this on every mod (i don't know if it's the same with Fallout, but in Oblivion, i made each mod an OMOD, and because of this OBMM takes a long time to load) making a fomod out of the mod is actually really easywhen you download a mod, you get an archive file (like a rar file)basically, all you have to do is right click on the file, and choose renamebut instead of renaming the file, change the extension to fomodthen just open the file (double click on it), which will bring up FOMMfrom there, it's pretty much self explanatory i should point out one thing, that i am not 100% sure abouti don't know if the file path has to be specific, when you make the fomodwhat i mean is that if the files in the archive is a data folder, and inside it are the contents of the mod, i am not sure if a fomod of this would behave the same as a fomod of an archive that just has the contents (the plugin and the resources like meshes)just in case, i would extract the files from the archive, and make a new one that is just the plugin and the resources, without any folders that contain them, then make the fomod i hope this doesn't sound like bs to you, because i really can't think of a good way to explain this
ZealotNick
Sorry but im really stupid when it comes to this stuff, I can't find the archive file so can you tell how to manually install it? I extracted the files to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\Data Should I have extracted C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data instead? Also where can I find the archive file so I can FoMod it?
WastelandAssassin
now i know why the mod wasn't working for youyou made one very basic mistake you see, i don't know why, but if you extract the mod directly into your game's folder, it doesn't workso what you need to do is extract the mod to a temporary location (doesn't matter where), then move all the contents to where they belong (and it should be the second one you wrote. there are no two data folders) and when i said archive, i meant the file that you downloaded (the rar\zip\7z etc file)this is the archivebut i would recommend that you do a manual install, not a fomod, unless this is a big mod i hope this helps
