hello i am new to the modding community and have had this idea of re-creating a different rpg useing the engine that oblivion runs on..

im still learning but really want to see this happen.

im looking for some really helpfull guides on the TESConstruction set.

im wanting to re-use manny of the textures and buildings from oblivion, and the scenery, trees, wolves, and a few of the monsters, but i think i am going to have to re-create most of the characters and some of the weapons,

also im going to have to recreate the entire game map. and areas,

i know this is a HUGE project and i probably wont be able to do it.

but where do i start?

how can i get the objects from oblivion into the TESConstruction object window and start making the new game?

would it be any easyier if i used TESconstrucion set from morrowind? or is it the same thing?

The Morrowind construction set only works on Morrowind. The Oblivion construction set only works on Oblivion. So you will have to use the Oblivion construction set.

If you haven't learned to mod yet, then your plan is perhaps too ambitious. I suggest that you start small. Make little pieces of content that can someday be transferred into your huge project, so no labor is really lost if the project founders. Think modular and scalable. Try to always have your mod be playable and releasable. For instance, instead of spending the next three months of your life creating a new landmass with no dungeons, no quests, and nothing fun, concentrate your efforts on building one village or dungeon or new creature 3-D animated model. This content can later be moved to your giant landmass. But if the project fails, then you will at least have a village, dungeon, or new creature that you can upload or use in other mods you build.

To put objects in the world, drag and drop from the lists in the object window to the render window.

Here is a link to a page that will teach you the controls of the construction set:

There has been one total conversion made that I know about. It is called "Nehrim" found here

I am letting you know this if you are just looking for a new Oblivion style game to play

If you truly are looking to make your own total conversion I wish you the best of luck, but unfortunately, I can not offer any assistance as it is way over my head. Maybe check out some information about Nehrim and how it was made in order to see if you want to try making your own.
