DestinySeraphim
Hi, Destiny here. I just bought Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition today, and guess what, I installed it, and now it is already screwing me over. For one, I can only get up to the menu once per startup, otherwise it just freezes at the "Please Standby" screen until I restart and try again. Then it crashes when I click New Game. Seriously, what the hell, it is bad enough my computer is supposed to be compatible with it. FML. These are my specs I am able to determine. Motherboard: ASUS P7P55D-E DeluxeProcessor: Intel Core i5 661 @ 3.33GHzVGA Card: HIS ATI Radeon HD 5450RAM: 4.00GBOS: Windows Vista 32-bit Ultimate And this is a brand new computer, and I am having unrelated issues with Minecraft where if I want to play Minecraft, I have to uninstall and reinstall my ATI 10.12 drivers in order to play, every startup because I get the same problem again on the next startup. FML. However, I am perfectly able to get Oblivion to work, albeit get the NVIDIA-style Black Screen Bug when I use HDR so I have to use Bloom. Daecat
sucks but yea, welcome to Fallout 3 on the PC. I went through like 2 months of research, trial and error just to get that b**** to work. My PC is way old though, so I don't see why u can't go farther than me.AMD Athlon 64 x22GB RAMHD Radeon 3400 This game was I think released unfinished. So first lets start with the basics, update video drivers, I'm sure u got that covered since u deal with that issue already with minecraft... is the game itself updated to latest patch? If not, definitely do that. http://www.seasonsecurity.com/fallout-3-vista-32-bit-problem-73528 maybe some help Hopefully someone else can chime in as I'm not that technically savvy and do not use Vista. Downloaded Driver Sweeper and reinstalled the ATI Drivers. Problem. Fallout 3 doesn't work with the 10.12 drivers but works with the 10.11 drivers but Minecraft doesn't work with the 10.11 drivers and only with the 10.12 drivers does it work. So I got to probably go to 10.10 to get them both working. But for now Fallout 3 is working. Now to figure out what is up with the wonky map marker in Vault 87 during the Escape Vault 87 of the get the GECK quest when I go through the door from the Test Labs into the Living Quarters and the map marker doesn't update. o_O
