ExEvolution
I intend to use multiple mod packages including Qarl's Texture Pack III, Unofficial Oblivion Patch, QTP3 UOP21 Compatibility Patch, Better Cities, and Animated Window Lighting System Does anyone know the proper order to install these mods to resolve conflicts? ExEvolution
Try using BOSS - Better Oblivion Sorting Software and Wrye Bash.I do use it for the esps, but I'm worried about loose files that are asking to overwrite files from the other mods. Kjkirimi
See what files are needed to be overwritten and decide what's more important. Though the most files will ask you to overwrite footmale and footmale_n. - that's the most common conflict in my case
ExEvolution
I guess if you put it that way, QTP3 is most important, so I should not allow the UOP to overwrite any files, but do allow the compatibility patch to overwrite files
bben46
Mods work by overwriting files. If you don't allow overwriting, then your mods won't work and you will still have the original stuff. Or you will get the yellow blocks that indicate missing stuff. Overwriting is always temporary. The overwrite happens when you start the game and is removed when you exit the game. That way, when you remove a mod (not just uncheck, but find and remove all texture and meshes added) the original stuff will magically (this is a fantasy game) reappear.
