Newbie Needs Help in New Vegas

I am looking for anything or anyone who can help me understand the steps i need to take to export my gun from blender to nifscope to geck. I know i need to make it a nif but i was wondering if i could export as a obj. and then save it as a nif in nifskope. When i export my model from blender 2.56 as a obj and open it in nifskope its all there but it is black/invisable. I really want to learn how to send my model from blender 2.49(complete with all necessary downloads) to nifskope and then do the ol switch-a-ru with a assault carbine to get it into geck. Not sure how that works but i know it involves some copy and pasting, matching movable parts and scaling your gun to size which i did. I also was wondering if i need to create a collision mesh for my model? Here i was all excited cause i got good enough at blender to model things now i cant even use them. Waaaaaaaaa!!!!!! I put my model in a zip(virus free) for anyone who would like to help me out or take a closer look at the meshes. It is a obj so you will have to save it to a location on your computer, open blender, then import it into blender as an obj.

Also if that link I suggested before isn't helpful then I'd suggest using the Nexus Tutorials (Which are also linked in that thread) and try looking through there, if you can't find what you need then try in the Fallout 3 tutorials since they use similar methods almost.
