Okay so I downloaded mods but then it turns out I accidentlly copied over all the original oblivion files so I delete them all uninstall and reinstall onlivion now all that's left in my data folder is

Credits.txt

Oblif82f.rra

Oblivion - Meshes.bsa

Oblivion - Misc.bsa

Oblivion - Sounds. bsa

and that's it so when I load up the game all I see is a white screen is there any way to fix this?

You didn't happen to make a backup of the oblivion files BEFORE you added any mods?

OK so past that question. My only advice at the moment would be to compleetely uninstall oblivion, restart your computer, re-install it and that should take care of the missing files issue.

You might want to also look through the thread below. It has some good links within the topic that may help you.

My guess is you are not completely uninstalling everything before reinstalling.

Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexus

http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240

It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.

Mods rarely if ever overwrite any thing in the bsa or exe files. If they do then they are not doing it right. Mods ONLY overwrite on game start, and when you exit the overwrites are removed so the vanilla files are never changed by mods.

When you get the overwrite message when installing a mod always answer yes or the mod will not work that's how mods work, by overwriting parts of the vanilla (original) files when you start the game each time. The overwrite is not permanent and will go away whenever the game exits or crashes.

Definitions that may help.

Install the game - when you actually use the DVD to put the game files on your computer. These will sometimes be called the Vanilla files.

Run or start the game - when you click to play

Download a mod - when you get a mod from a site such as TesNexus onto your computer

Unzip - all mods are downloaded in a zipped format and must be unzipped to work

Install a mod - converting a mod from its zipped condition to files that are useable in the game and placing those files in the right place

Activate a mod - placing a check or x in the box beside the mod - either in the data files or in your mod manager (OBMM)
