McclaudEagle
Hi. I'm having a problem with the game's LOD loading up really close. Originally, the LOD was fine and loaded far away like it's supposed to, but now items are loading one at a time fairly close to my character and large structures like the giant Freeside sign require me to be about 40 meters away before it loads. Does anyone know why this is happening?
Jagermh
Have you checked your distant fade setting?
McclaudEagle
I'll assume that's in the GECK, or INI? EDIT: I've tried increasing the numbers in the in-game settings, but they are already maxed. Edited January 30, 2011 by McclaudEagle
srmacpherson
I'm having similar issues.I've edited my default.ini and increased my LOD settings, and also used FOMM to do the same. I've got cells set to 11 and still I'm having last-second pop-ups of buildings, billboards, etc. Or I'm having issues with HQ LOD loading until I'm really close on some structures. NottingHillbillie
I have the same problem, and its very annoying. I have come to the conclusion that it has to do with your characters level, perks or stats because i started a new game recently at first i wandered around Goodsprings not leveling or anything and then i used the Cheat Terminal mod inside the doctors house to boost my character, leveled up to 26, skills maxed, perks added and so on, and then when i got outside i instantly noticed that the LOD was weird, it was blurry until i literally was standing right on it, the texture loader properly. I have no idea how to fix it, hope someone knows though because it's a rely annoying bug.
NottingHillbillie
I solved my problem by editing my timescale from real-time to default this seems to have fixed the problem for me.
