Transparent weapons

I've started creating a set of mostly-transparent Daedric weapons (NOT retexured. I'm using slightly-altered meshes), and was wondering if it would be worthwhile to:

1) Create a mod that replaces the Bound [Weapon] meshes with these

2) Create a mod which allows you to purchase these, or exchange the corresponding Daedric weapons for them

---Use boosted speed, lower weight and damage for the above

 

Additionally, should they be less transparent?

*Ethereal being the working title, as it doesn't have quite the overtone I want. If I decide to do an equivalent set using silver weapons, I'll probably use it for those.

I've hit something of a stumbling block. Only 5 out of 16 work properly.

It seems as if it may be related to the number of TriShapes used, but that doesn't explain why the spear works and the dai-katana doesn't. Additionally, when I removed all but 4 of the TriShapes from the mace, it didn't work then either.

 

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
