katlee93 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 This hasn't happened often, but I have run into a few mods where the maters loading order doesn't match that of the mod and it always deals with the DLC's "Dawnguard and Dragonborn". Now as I am sure you know, I cant change the order of these 2 DLC's or it throws everything else off. So is there a way to fix this issue or are these mods just not playable for me?
katlee93 Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 Bump......So no one has any idea how to fix this issue?
Jimmyjojo Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I'm not sure what your issue is, to be honest. You'll need to provide more details. I'm assuming that your'e using MO and that LOOT is getting your load order wrong. Is that it? If so, then the answer is to run LOOT through Mod Organizer, but don't use the Sort button. You have to run LOOT through MO. Running LOOT outside of MO wouldn't work, because LOOT will try to read your data folder, and your data folder won't actually have any of your mods in it if you're using MO. Make sense? There are two ways to run LOOT through MO. One is to use the Sort button found above the right-hand side plugin list. The other is to run LOOT by choosing it via the drop-down menu next to the Run button. Run LOOT through the drop-down menu. There's a bug that's popped up recently where using the Sort button either gets the load order just plain wrong -- which is happening to me -- or it's ordering the plugin list alphabetically -- which is happening to others. The only solution is to not use the Sort button until this problem is worked out. Or maybe use an earlier version of MO maybe? I don't know about that, though. Not sure if that would work. Not using the Sort button has worked fine for me. What exactly is your issue anyway? I need more details, like I said.
katlee93 Posted June 20, 2015 Author Posted June 20, 2015 ok, sorry for lack of details. No I am not using MO, I am using NMM and I am running LOOT. However that's not the issue. The main ESM's of my game are in this order...Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, HearthFires.esm and Dragonborn.esm, (and of course the Unofficial Patches are after the main esm's). The issue I am having is, I have found a few mods where the Dawnguard and Dragonborn esm's are switched in the maters list and therefore either wont work at all or cause other problems. (As in when I look at the mods installed in Bash, they are orange or red in color). So my question is, is there a way to change the Masters load order in a mod to match my masters load order? I hope this helps. If you need more info I will try and get it here asap.
Jimmyjojo Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Go to this site and follow step #12: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56894/? It sounds like you need to run the sort masters function of TES5edit. If this doesn't help let me know what mods you're having trouble with and I'll see what I can figure out.
