Hiyas Seaton-

Ok, first off, I have to do my job and let you know that we don't allow bumping here on the nexus sites. It falls under the same rules as spam.

CHAPTER II - SPAM

Spam is...

1) Posting one liners. Replying to a thread and just saying something like "hey!" "yeah!" "lol" "I agree" "no" etc..

2) Posting the same thread/post repeatedly in order to gain attention.

3) Posting something completely off-topic (OT) that has nothing to do with the thread.

4) Posting in a thread to simply "bump" it back to the top of the forum listings with no additional or useful content.

Ok, now that I've got that outta the way, we can get to the problem that you're having.

1) Make sure that you are downloading the version of the mods that are made as presets. the .moR versions of those mods will NOT work for presets, those types are only for existing characters.

The first mod that you posted a link to, the author included the chargenmorphcfg.xml file as an optional file. You will need to download THAT too, and drop it into your override folder. In order for the character creator (CC) to be able to use the new heads. Without that, they won't show up for you to use.

The second mod however... the author did not include a chargenmorphcfg.xml file with.

Which means that the folks that download that mod won't be able to use those faces of his without MANUALLY updating their own chargen file. I'll drop a note to the author of that mod and request that he update his mod to include that.

The first mod you can install with DA Modder (DAM) http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=286 just download the .zip file, and drag and drop it into the DAM screen and DAM will start to install the files for you.

That second mod tho is packed in a .rar file. So what you need is a program that can unzip .rar files such as winzip, winrar, 7zip or peazip. Then unzip the folder inside the .rar file and Copy and Paste (CnP) the new folder into your override folder, located at C:\Users\"YourUserName"\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override

Sorry for the bad news in regards to the second mod. I can tell you how to manually update your chargen file if you would like.

I tried to drag and drop into the DAM menu yet.. it says its not an override or dazip :/

Which means that the file you're "dragging and dropping" is neither a ".dazip", nor a ".override". Either you have to uncompress it first (if that's the issue), or it is not a file that DAMM ("DAM" is a different program) can handle, (and MOST Dragon Age mods are not.)

What is the exact file in question?

Wait for a minute, I think that your chargen file has some errors in it Mochie. I'll explain in the PM.

Seaton, if it's a .zip file from the first mod you listed, you need to drop it into DAM, not DAMM, as thandal recommended.

Sorry about all that, I got sidetracked pretty bad last night. Mochie's file isn't installable as-is thru DAM. Because it's not a .zip or .dazip file. But rather a .rar file. DAM and DAupdater can't handle those. That one you have to either manually place in your override folder, by Copy and Paste (CnP), or extract the folders that are in the .rar file and pack them up into a .zip file for DAM to be able to handle it. You will also want to drop her chargenmorphcfg.xml file in there as well, and then update your chargen files with the chargen compiler.
