Cant Seem to get new presets or change char face.

I got most of my mods working, but in the CC how come some presets, or skin tones etc are metallic?

That's what happens when there is a pointer to a non-existent resource. Usually the result of the incomplete merging of multiple ".xml" files into a single one (which is all the game can use.)

So I either installed a mod wrong or when i compiled the xml file something went wrong? Or both?

In general, yes.

 

For example, the very nice mod "Tucked Hair" does not come automatically with an associated chargenmorphcfg.xml. (It is available as a separate download.) So if you just add "Tucked Hair" to your override folder, there will be resources with nothing pointing to them. That doesn't cause display problems in-game, since the orphaned resources aren't ever called.

 

But the reverse problem of an entry in the chargenmorphcfg.xml that points to a missing resource (or a partially missing one, say... that special texture the author intended to have applied) will create strange effects, like transparent outline heads that let you see your Warden's eyeballs from behind, or pasty, translucent white skin.

 

Sounds like you have the latter situation. I'd look to missing textures first. What do the Readmes and file descriptions say about "other required mods/files"?

One of the Preset face mods i downloaded (One of the biggest on the site, their are 2 if i remember) has a readme with well over 30+ mods needed for the faces to show up, so im sure while downloading/installing all those i screwed up some where as stubborn as i was this was the first mod I decided to ever install on this game and as you can tell by my opening Post i was highly confused :/
