New Vegas Hunting Ground

I am requesting a New Vegas hunting ground type thing, where thier is just a couple locations of different types of hunting grounds for new vegas people to go to

 

-A hunting ground mod would be great because you could make caps by doing it

 

(just an idea)-their could be a npc that would say for example bring me idk 10 yogi bear pelts

 

-i also think it would be cool is someone made and added new mutated animals to the hunting grounds

 

-you could get mini quest for diffrent things you have to bring in from the hunting ground(kinda like how red lucy asked for things for the thorn)

 

-you could have your own hunting cabin/ tent or cave idk

 

-Animals that you could hunt for could be anything(please post if you have ideas for animals

 

-For each animal we could do retextures and make items like fur, pelts, meat, ivory...etc

 

-Also diffrent hunting areas like thier could be a forest area, lake/coast line area/ high snowy mountain area, brush area etc

 

-and who ever would make this mod could add a whole new hunting riffles with re textures and hunting uniforms)

-if someone could make this mod i think a lot of people would like it

(something new for NV)(check google for ideas for other images)

Good idea, love how you made it easy to read since I will usually just not read something if its just a huge clump of text.

Random ideas I found were

 

Deformed Skunks that attack with an edited (to green) flame attack if attacked.

Mutated Vultures that randomly appear on or near old corpses and fly away like ravens but if shot leave feathers or meat.

 

Here are many creatures from older Fallouts or creatures that were cut and never made it to the final game, so they would all make unique animals to hunt

I am currently working on a hunters mod. With a guild of hunters, a long main quest and a few smaller sidequests. It is still in early stages. I have a base, the different npcs some guards and a trader. I am working with the scripting for the main questline. I will post a beta when I have enough material. The mod will be called HUNTERS MOON.

 

I don´t know how to make retextured unique weapons and armor or voice acting so contributions for those would be helpfull. Anyway I will post the mod when I have enough material so keep an eye out for it.

Look through the links in my posts on here: Several of them have lots of resources you can use. One has lot of info on how to make new weapons, armor, creatures, etc. and others have lots of modders resources and things for you to use.

EDIT: Also Viking try looking on the Voice acting thread once your mod gets more developed.

You know, this idea reminds me of that game in the PSP/PS2/Wii/PC, Monster Hunter

 

You go to a guild of sorts, they list available quests, and they pay you after you slay the target monster, while at the same time you can also carve stuff from them. There were also quests about gathering stuff too, like wyvern eggs and mining stuff like ore and whatnot

 

Overall, looks promising.

Heres some cat themed ideas

 

Radcats: Essentially "ghouls" of the cat world, these poorly individuals can be found in dark, irradiated areas, wild or accompanying ghouls. Wild radcats will show no desire to get to know the player, and will defend their territory if provoked. Domesticated radcats (as will be found in Underworld) will share similar behaviours with the domestic cat. Whilst still quite weak, these cats will experience a bonus in general ability and healing in the presence of radiation.

 

Wildcats: Huge, tiger-like beasts in thick, armoured skin; you wouldn't want to piss one off. In combat, effectively a yao guai with armour, these cats will be a force with which to be reckoned. Descended from several species of large jungle cat used in the original experimentation, these cats will exhibit hunting and territorial behaviours. Leave them alone, and they'll do the same for you, but cross them and you've got a fight on your hands. Will be found in packs across the Wasteland.

 

Poisonclaws: Small, speedy variations of the radcat, these cats will have mutated the ability to produce and use a powerful venom. These cats will be fond of the ambush, and otherwise quite skittish. Whilst they are incredibly weak in terms of HP and DR, these cats will experience similar boosts to the radcat in the presence of radiation, and enhanced healing upon the ingestion of glowing mushrooms. Guess where they'll be found.
