New Vegas Hunting Ground

Yeah, I've been using your thread as a bit of a base for any good "critter" ideas I've come up with or come across.

And yes this would be a top mod if it was made. As I was explaining on another thread, that people don't realize that simple ideas can be works of genius in mods. Just look at the top mod right now is New Vegas Bountry Hunter, thats simply a job mod thats been really expanded on. It's basically, go kill guy, come back, heres money, rinse, wash, repeat. =P

So I'll keep supporting this since my mod is currently dead in the water.

Hey everyone! I hoped for something like a decent hunting mod for fallout for a long time now. It would be so great to just go into the wild wasteland to prey on the (un)natural post-nuclear wildlife. Only thing is: the world of New Vegas is too crowded for a decent "hunting in the wilderness" feeling. So my idea is this:

(Make a total coversion of the original game)

- Get rid of all items in the game world that are not part of the actual Wasteland (towns, viallges, camps, NPCs, critters, markers etc.). Just leave the trees, rocks, roads and stuff. Is there already a mod with a complete Empty Mojave Wasteland World? Does anyone know?

- Repopulate the world with "huntable" Fallout-Animals (Geckos, wild Brahmin, Yao Guai, Deathclaws, Coyotes etc.) and alter them so that they are much faster, and much more easier to scare away. They have to be scarce so that it's a bit of a challange to actually find them.

- Build some scattered hunting camps/lodges at the corners of the Mojave Wasteland with shops, NPCs and stuff

The Mojave Wasteland has so many interesting landscapes that it would be a great experience (Black-Moutain, the snowy ski-Lodge area, the Damn area etc.)

People could create Hunting quests in the outposts for Wasteland hunters to complete.

I imagine something like The Hunter in the Fallout universe.

...but it would be sooooooo time consuming to build such a thing... and there probably wouldn't be enough people who'd enjoy something like that :(

Isnt there a bounty hunter mod.

Yes there is, its the top mod in New Vegas, however new creatures are more interesting than some new generic NPC to kill.

Speaking of new creatures here are some resources I've gathered while working on my "Modder Resources And Models" Thread

---------------------Creature Resources---------------------

New Vegas Resources

CIB and Creature and Modders Resources - Modders Resource -- One of the best and most requested Resources, I will go in futher depth on this resource in the next post.

Failed FEV Subject Tweaked - Modders Resource

Puppy Meshes - Modders Resource

Textured Dalek Resource - Modders Resource

Fallout 3 Resources

Tyrandid - Modders Resource (Could be New genetic experiment from Enclave Researchers..)

Arachnid and Cloverfield Parasite Models -- Modders Resource

More Animations For Super Mutants -- Modders Resource

Nazi Zombie Wasteland invasion V 1 -- Contact Author

Creature Resources and Mods, made by CIB in the Nexus, really looks badass and includes creatures From Fallout 2

Here is the link to the mod...

If it wasn't already known, this thread is (hopefull) becoming a mod soon thanks to AllenOcelot.

If any modders want to join and help make it a reality then please post on his thread named "New Vegas Hunting Grounds" in Mod Talk or message him directly.

Also while I'm here I've found a new "creature" to add to the list I've made so far.

A 4-wheeled protectotron, it looks quite formidable but lacks animation at the moment so please volunteer your services animators and bring that to "life" for all of us.
