Uerba
i have a weapon from oblivion that i would like to convert to DA how do i do it?
Thandal
You get the various rendering, texture, and 3-D modelling programs and build it! Then you get the DA Toolset to package your creation in a way the game can recognize. "Converting" elements from a Bethsoft game for use in a BioWare one is a clear copyright violation. As is doing so with a community mod without the permission of the mod's author.
Deleted2519190User
Yes, this is why DIY weapon making is more fun. You can look at your own sloppy work, be proud that you could get it in-game, AND do anything you want with it.
DarkeWolf
Well, to expand upon what Thandal already offered- We won't do anything about it as long as you're doing it for personal use. But if you use the site to offer up the files or choose to try to distribute them/upload them thru any of the nexus sites, the files will be removed, and a ban issued on the account.Just something to keep in mind, thats a lot of trouble to get into :( And yes, you're going to need a 3d program. And you're going to need a plugin for it to handle the .msh file type that dragonage uses. Many people prefer blender, since it's free. If you go that route, you can do a search on dragonage nexus for "blender" and you should find a download for the plugin to handle the file format. beyond that, I'm afraid I'm not much help either. Since I dont know very much about doing 3d work
