Looking for good 3D modellers

Well I have been doing that by adding levels just so that some parts are smooth. I would REALLY like to know how you make your rifle for example look so smooth without using that many polygons. Since such things are a pain in the ass for me!

I'm not exactly experienced but if you use blender you can hit the "set smooth" button on the object window.

Also there's a poly-reducer plugin that you can download and access via "scripts". You can basically set your object to smooth, then hit poly reduce a bunch of times. I'm wondering how you managed to get such a high poly count in the first place, maybe just worry less about the little details?

Well the strange thing is this. See the round thingy over the barrel? That thing for the iron sights. That thing was just 4k polygons by itself. And by the way it was because of increased levels, I decreased the levels deleted the whole handle and trigger guard. Re-did the trigger guard and am gonna do the handle tomorow. And thanks for the tip, gonna try it tomorow! =)

Awecomecakes ( Iavor) really wants this position.

All the ebst cakes, but you really should learn how to texture map and get items in game, Im sure that McclaudEagle

would not like the trouble of teaching you all the ins and outs. Or maybe he or she would, I its not my place to say.

He can make some pretty good models, its a shame about the poly count and having to transform them into ingame items or hed be a great modder by himself.

He is best when given a task though, so I suggest McclaudEagle , you give him something to model and let him show you what he can do. :)
