dragonslayer2k12 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I am making a mod for fort dawnguard to add several npc to live there and also be a part of the dawnguard quest. I have almost finished working on the interior of fort dawnguard just have to do all the little things. While modding this interior I was trying to decide how many followers to add and where they will sleep, stuff like that and began to investigate all the sandbox and sleep and eat markers in the interior. I have the right side expanded so it is the same size as the left side minus the troll area and barracks and kitchen. I moved the tower entrances around a bit so they are farther away and I added a sleeping area upstairs on the right. I want to add these npcs A merchant who will have a table there on the right side. A bard who will spend some time in that new right side area and some time in the kitchen where the DG sandbox. Two mercenaries who will sandbox on that right side, they sleep upstairs in that new sleeping area and dine up there too. Two vigilants of stendarr who sleep in the right side area and dine down there at a small table. A breton baron and his accompanying knight they sleep upstairs in the new sleeping area and sandbox downstairs in the new right side area I will for now have to just let them use default dialogue but the mercs will be hireable and the accompanying knight can be asked to follow as well as the two vigilants. I only want some of those npcs to be at the final battle storm the vampire castle part of the quest. I only want the two vigilants and the mercenaries to patrol outside during the day. I want the knight to practice somewhere haven't decided where yet though. I don't want these new npcs to wander over to the dawnguard npcs area and start doing their sandbox routines, these new npcs will stay on the new right side area always except the bard of course. I need the knight and the baron to wear some clothes before the final battle but switch to their amrors for the final battle. I am thinking the knight will just wear the armor in their inventory when asked to follow the player. For the dialogue stuff I am gonna have some issues because the story of the baron and his knight will just have to be imagined by the player lol I know there is no recorded audio dialogue in the game for such a thing and I can't stand subtitles only dialogue. Now of course if someone around here wants to volunteer their voice for these two npcs that would be great they just have to sound like bretons. I was looking through the vigilants of stendarr dialogues and they don't say much except tolan he has some very relevant dialogue that would sound great with additional voices in fact his dialogue where he explains things to the player is what I am talking about. If someone could voice that dialogue one male voice and one female voice that would be great. Beacuse otherwise they are just gonna have some generic game dialogue and follower dialogue. So the things I need help with are: How to setup dawnguard specific sleep, eat, sandbox for each npc How to setup dawnguard specific final battle AI for some npc How to setup dawnguard specific exterior patrol AI for some npc How to setup the the generic dialogue for each npc so they have something to say for chatting How to setup follower and hireling dialogue for relevant npcs How to keep each new npc from going aggro against dawnguard npcs during fights How to keep dawnguard npcs from going aggro against new npcs at all There will be four of these new npc helping in the final battle, those two vigilants and the baron and his knight. Vigilants want revenge for the end of their order, the baron and his knight have traveled from far away to help slay the vampire menace. The baron suspects the vampires are up to something so there could be possible mention of some dawnguard quest dialogue. The baron and his knight and the vigilants should be present when the moth priest reads the scroll and at the pep talk before the final battle. I will try to muttle my way through all this but if someone can help it would make things go much faster. I want to be able to release the mod before any of the fancy volunteer voices are added if any are offered here so others can test it out and help with this stuff if they want. I was browsing some armor mods looking for some good knght armors and would have liked to use the dark souls elite knight armor but it is male only. I have a breton knight armor mod of my own sort of, called relics of the reach hosted here on nexus so if necessarry I could just use assets from there but it would be nice to see something different. Well if anybody can help here please do, I need specific creation kit info on how to setup those npc that is the most perplexing thing for me right now so if someone drop in some instructions for that it would go a long way for getting this mod done thanks.
