Ithildin Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Two of my favorite actors; I "miss" them (in a sense) each time I see one of their films. Wish there could've been more of their work for the world to enjoy. Lovely and poignant thoughts, Pag ... well put.
mythicdawnmaster Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Monroe... god, i am too young to have been there when she was alive, but even now she lives on through us all, the world of fashion will never forget her. She was such a sad soul, she was so broken and fragile inside, all she wanted was love, someone to hold her, make her feel loved. "Marilyn Monroe" was the perfect mask, that Norma Jean put on to achieve her fame, but every now and then, you have to take a mask off, and beneath, was just a little girl who was never loved. All of the marriages she had ended, because her husbands could not deal with her... they all married her for Monroe, and clearly, they never wanted the baggage she carried inside. I don't know much about Heath ledger, but by god, he was an amazing actor. Such a sad tale.
Ithildin Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 My favorite image of her: http://tomblock.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/marilyn-monroe-window1.jpg?w=450&h=379
