What is the best blunt weapon in the game.i know that staff of magnus is most expensive but is it the best one.

The mace of Aevar Stone-Singer. If you're only talking about Staffs, however, the Staff of Magnus is the best.

If you have Bloodmoon, it's a weapon gained in the middle of Solstheim's main quest.

I think that the best staff is Trebonius's staff. But I have always been one of getting as much power as possible, but when it comes to the best damage potential Trebonius's Staff is the best.

 

But if you custome make a ebony staff, the possibilities are endless. You can enchant it with HUNDREDS of points of extra damage :D. 100% chameleon for a few seconds. Levetations 100 points even. Silence for a half minute or so. Even absorb health/ atribute 100 points for like five seconds or so. Ebony staves are very good when it comes to enchanting so I'd suggest just enchanting one of them. It can have much more damage potential, or can do damage to lots of enemies similtansly (like 60 points of damage in 50 feet really takes people out). You can make an ebony staff perfect for any user, since they are so customizable. But you need quite a lot of money for a good power one (one like 100 points of damage on touch from two elements would cost somewhere between 30g-50g). And you have a low chance of success with enchanting yourself, since they are almost always power enchantments.

 

Another good staff the game made is the hellfire staff. It is pretty good, but not as good as Trebonius's Staff. But if you stumble across it in the early game (like level 10 or so) it can be pretty good.

 

Sunder is pretty good, but go with the mace of aiver stone slinger. It is MUCH better. But Sunder is easier to get, so just go which one you want. But I suggest the mace of aiver stone slinger.

Skull Crusher is working well for me. Since it is one handed, I can also use a shield. Since it has a 15 point feather spell, it also allows me to carry 15 more weight units.

If im not mistaken, skull crusher wieghs 15, so the feather spell just counteracts it making skull crusher wieghtless.

Skull Crusher is the ultimate Blunt Weapon. If I remember correctly, it does as much damage as a two-handed Daedric Warhammer, yet it is a one-handed weapon. Furthermore, due to the Feather effect, it pretty much is weightless.

 

The one downside is that the weapon is huge. It takes up a large percentage of your screen, meaning that it is hard to see around. However, if you can deal with that, it's awesome.

Well, if you're somewhat tight on encumberance and don't mind the whole "Looney Tunes" look, Skullcrusher is great. However, for raw damage and particle effects goodness...

I didn't see Mace of Aevar Stone-Singer yet, but up to now my favourite is Scull Crasher - awesome destructive force, makes everybody kneel before me :P

 

I simply love it and, as Wolron said, I can use shield at the same time. Since my Long Blades skill reached 100 my daedric katana is gathering dust and I am advancing in the Blunt Weapons skill.
