rms827
OK, so my latest issue... First I was trying to create a new script and the CK kept telling me that "The extends script does not exist. Please pick one that does". With a little help, I figured out that the quest.psc file that SKSE was supposed to install was missing. I install SKSE (1.07.02) manually this time instead of using the installer... NOW instead of getting that error message, I get the CK trying to immediately compile the new, empty script instead. The compile fails, and I can't edit the text box to try to actually create the body of the script. When I exit out and try again, I get that the script already exists and to choose a different name for my script. The script does NOT show in the list of existing scripts in the CK though. Oddly enough, it DOES show in the Data/Scripts/Source folder though. Re-installing SkyUI and SKSE haven't fixed this, Anybody have any ideas before I give up and throw my PC against the wall? EDIT: Here's the actual error message I'm getting: Starting 1 compile threads for 1 files...Compiling "DawnSentryEssentialToggleQuestScript"...<unknown>(0,0): Unable to find flags file: TESV_Papyrus_Flags.flgC:\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\Scripts\Source\Quest.psc(1,0): Unknown user flag HiddenNo output generated for DawnSentryEssentialToggleQuestScript, compilation failed.Batch compile of 1 files finished. 0 succeeded, 1 failed.Failed on DawnSentryEssentialToggleQuestScript Edited June 16, 2015 by rms827
rms827
OK, I found the fix, FINALLY. The scripts.rar file needed to be extracted. Oddly enough I remembered that from my former install, but when I checked the Data folder after setting up my current install of the game, the scripts.rar wasn't there at that point (a later DL maybe?). Because of that, I figured that Bethesda had done something to change dumping all the scripts in a rar file, and kind of forgot about it till now. agerweb
Actually the only file you need is the TESV_Papyrus_flags.flg file in the source directory; but extracting the whole scripts.rar file would do that.
