troybayliss Posted January 31, 2011 Share Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) When I edit the details of one of my mods the drop-down menu for the question "Does your file contain assets used from other authors (that you have permission to use) that can't be redistributed without permission?" is automatically reset to Yes.Since it does not happen for the other drop-down menus, is this intended? Because it's a bit annoying to have to remember to set it right again every time. Thanx EDITI mod for Oblivion, so this is about the Elder Scrolls Nexus. Thandal Posted January 31, 2011 Share Posted January 31, 2011 Wow! The current drop down has a pretty convoluted sentence to have to parse out before knowing what the correct response might be. What if the file contains assets (from another author) you do NOT have permission to redistribute? Then the answer is obviously "No". What if the file contains assets (from another author) that do not REQUIRE permission to redistribute? Then the answer is still "No". Anyway, I hope that what's intended is: a) to require every uploader to affirmitively (non-default choice) assert that they have permission to use/distribute the assets they are providing, and b) to confirm (non-default choice) that they have flagged any assets (theirs, or anyone else's) that require additional permission before further redistribution. I'm not debating on the meaning of that sentence, I'm saying that when I enter the "Edit File Details" page, all the drop-down menus are correctly set on the choice that I previously made, but that particular one keeps changing back to "Yes", even if already I set it to "No" the last time. I had thought you were saying that the default for that ONE item was different from all the others, not that it wouldn't "stick" after you selected what you wanted. My misunderstanding. And I wasn't trying to "debate" the meaning either.
