A problem occurred during install:Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrownThe mod was not installed I am using Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM). Would appreciate any help, thanks!

alanbard Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 If you have a copy of the old hack to make the FO3 exe large memory aware...put the fomm exe in the folder.. change its name to FO3 exe (double check what it's called in the game folder)...run the utility to make it large memory aware... rename it to FOMM exe and then put it back in the FOMM folder....

I have the same problem; using FO3NV steam version game; using FOMM. Vanessa installs fine in FO3 (non-steam,) but none will install in FO3NV using FOMM.
Thenryb Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) You need to make sure your temporary folder has plenty of room because FOMM uses that in installation. Search for %temp% and empty the contents of that folder. Ordinary disc cleanup utility does not affect that folder. Also, Vanessa should be installed manually. That "out of memory exception error" sounds like some message you would get if you tried to install Vanessa with NMM and have a 32 bit system. And definitely use the FOMM fork mentioned above.
