Fix for Ultimate Sacrifice from Awakening Foward

I know Origins is an old game, but there are still mods being made for it, and from the mods made i never saw a possible fix for the "useless" Ultimate Sacrifice road, after all, you either play a stand alone story about the Orlesian Warden (where you cant import your decisions) or you revive the dead Warden (worst idea ever).

I admit i have no idea how to mod games, but i thought of an interesting way to try and fix this road, and i think that all necessery resources already exist in the game.

Here is my idea.

  • If you go the Ultimate Sacrifice road, and import this world in to Awakening, instead of going straight to the game you would be sent to the Orlesion Warden creation screen, which would make the game treat you as a diferent person from the Hero of Ferelden (it is possible to do so using the console but you cant change your appearence and you lose the item you carried over).
  • You would start with no items in your inventory, except for your gear (probably use some actual grey warden gear), and you would play the first part of Awakening in that way having only the gear you start with and the gear you collect.
  • When you meet the ruler of your world (Alistair or Anora), after the talk they would give you the items your dead Warden had equipped, the items he had in is inventory in the save you imported, and the updated versions of the unique items you own (from achivements, the ones you buy from vendors or get from quests).

This way it would give a real meaning to the Ultimate Sacrifice, and would be relevent to the story, plus it would give some pourpose to the late visit of either Alistair or Anora besides bringing the templar that wants Anders. And it should carry without problem to the other DLC and Dragon Age II because it recognises the Orlesian Warden already.

I thought of this because it makes sense story wise and because if you use the default story for the game start in Awakening and Dragon Age II, it assumes that the Warden is a male Human Noble, while we saw from Inquisition that the default story from Bioware went with a female Dalish Elf.

To be honest I know it would need some work to make this fix to work but that work would be only in the stard of Awakening the rest the game content would assume the Orlesian Warden Story as it already does.

So in conclusion, do people agree with this idea, and is anyone interested in doing it?
