devinpatterson Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 I have a brahmin train mod that really only works right if the brahmin have the teammate faction (I think I threw follower faction on as well). But they'r hostages (barbecue time) and when the player comes in to get them, the captors (viper gunslingers) begin shooting the brahmin up (since they'r teammate). Is there anyway to have them be a neutral faction then after the battle a scripted event could change them to teammate. Or some other way of keeping them from getting shot? There is also going to be a daughter of the carvan owner who is a hostage, and maybe a follower for a short time. I'm facing the same problem with her. davidlallen Posted February 2, 2011 Share Posted February 2, 2011 I think your suggestion should work. Does the battle take place in a fixed location with a limited number of entrances? Then you can put a trigger cube by the entrances to go off when the player enters. Once triggered, a script can put the brahmin into a neutral faction. To put them back after the firefight, you could use an ondeath script for the captors. Once all the captors are dead, put the brahmin back. The battle is in Wolfhorn ranch but I can start them as neutral until all hte vipers are gone. I'v just started working with the geck and already I'm really frustrated. I'm just trying to set up a sniper type in the pillbox. I selected some Viper raiders as a base and it looks like if I use their leveling data->pc level multi, I can't choose their attributes. I can't seem to find any kind of ready made ai sniper package in the geck. I must be overlooking how to add specific weapons as well.
