Gaikotsu Akunin
Is it possible to not have the zoom/scope but still have the aim animation whilst in "tfc" mode?
WastelandAssassin
are you trying to make this for a screenshot\video, or just a question?? if you want, you can easily make a version of the gun that has no scope (so it would just zoom when you aim), so that when you look at it, you will get the aim animation without the scopeit's really easy (if you want to know how, just ask, and i'll tell you exactly, if you don't know how)

WastelandAssassin
well, i am glad to be of help now, i'm going to explain how to do this with a specific weapon from the original game, but you should be able to do this with every type of weapon (though if the scope is from a weapon mod, then the process is different, but i'll explain this as well, just in case) first, open the New Vegas GECK, and load the main FalloutNV.esm (if the weapon is from a mod, also load it, and make it active, because it's better to make the changes on that plugin)let the GECK load (which may take some time) let's say that you want to change the Anti Material Riflein the GECK, on the left side, there is a window called Object Window, which has a list of contentsin this list, go Items -> Weapon -> Weapons -> 2handriflethan, you should see a list of all the weapons using the 2handrifle animationscan the list for the AM rifle, right click on it, and choose Editin the window that now opens, change the ID into something that you will know, then click ok, and when asked if you want to make a new instance, choose yesnow, find your new item, right click on it, and choose Editgo to the Art and Sound tab, and look at the bottom of itthere is a box called Has Scopejust uncheck it, click ok, and save the file (make a new plugin if you aren't changing any file) if you want to do this to a weapon with a modded scope, like the Hunting Rifle, the process is a bit different, but not by muchopen the hunting rifle in the same way, and make a new instance of it, just like before (and also uncheck the Has Scope box)however, there is one more change that you need to makein the Art and Sound tab, you need to change the model and 1st person model into the one with the scope (or whatever version of the modded rifle of your choice)so, if you want it to have just the scope, change the model to the huntingrifleScope.nif (you will need to extract this file from your meshes BSA), and change the 1st person model to 1stPersonHuntingRifleScope then press ok, save your changes, and you are done (well, almost done)if you want to, you can drop a version of your weapon into the world (in a specific cell), or just get it through a cheat, because you will need to get it, in order to use this hope this helps :)
Gaikotsu Akunin
Is there a way I can make 2 diff versions of the weapon like scoped and non-scoped? Thanks for the help!
WastelandAssassin
Is there a way I can make 2 diff versions of the weapon like scoped and non-scoped? Thanks for the help! well, you can make 2 different versions, but that depends on the weapon you are trying to change you see, if you take a weapon like the AM rifle, that comes with a built in scope, you will have to remove the scope from the model (which would probably mean changing the textures and such, which is hard work) however, if you look at what i wrote about the hunting rifle, it shows you how to have two versions of the same weapon, one scoped and one not scopedthe problem is that you need a version of the weapon that isn't scoped, and one that is (in terms of models) so, in the end, you can have 2 versions, but that depends on which weapon, and if you are skilled enough to remove a scope from a weapon, and still have a usable model (not sure how complicated this is, as i never tried this)
Gaikotsu Akunin
I didn't mean actually visually removing the scope, I meant one version you can use the zoom/scope work, and another just zoomed like you have discussed already. I was afraid if I did what you said, that all of the same weapon that I'm trying this on won't use the scope art instead of just one.
WastelandAssassin
ohhhno, that is no problem you see, the most important step is to change the weapon's ID, and make a new instancethis way, when you change the new weapon, you will not affect the older versionso you will have the original weapon (that will be unchanged), and the new version that will be as you wish so yes, you can have two (or as many as you like) versions of the weaponjust make sure to give it a new ID, when asked if you want to make a new instance choose YES, and make the changes in the new weapon (so only modify after you make the new instance, to prevent any problems)
