Septim741
As mentioned on Tessource, the end of the year is almost here, which means that all kinds of games are going to be reviewed to find the best ones. This is a thread where you can list the awards that Oblivion recieves that you have found. I myself noted that Oblivion received #2 in Gamespy's top ten games of 06, and was the best RPG game of 06. Abramul
I'm pretty sure it's near the top of "Marxist Ssastard's List of Games That Aren't as Good as the Games to Which They Are Sequels"
Guest Tessera
Well, Oblivion has already won the Video Game of the Year Awards for "Game of the Year" and "Most Addictive Game." :) It was televised on SpikeTV last week. Popular actor Samuel L. Jackson hosted the awards show.
Povuholo
The TMF (The Music Factory) Game Awards here in Holland nominated Oblivion for Best PC game and Best 360 game , but it didn't win. Saints Row and F.E.A.R did. But I think Oblivion has won enough awards already. I'm pretty sure it's near the top of "Marxist Ssastard's List of Games That Aren't as Good as the Games to Which They Are Sequels" Agreed ;)
Marxist ßastard
I wouldn't know if Oblivion is better or worse than the game it's a sequel to, since I've never played Redguard.
Stampede
I wouldn't know if Oblivion is better or worse than the game it's a sequel to, since I've never played Redguard. Another zinger from the MB. I take the mickey out of Oblivion due to dubious (or excellent) marketing tactics and it falling short of expectations. However, now that I've modded it heavily with my own tastes and a whole lot of Oscuro's, I am enjoying it immensely. I am still holding thumbs for an expansion, so I hope the game receives the kind of publicity which would convince Bethesda to invest more time in it.
