Actor.enable

I use the xxxREF.enable command in the GECK to make an actor appear when I'm talkin to another NPC. But the GECK just tells me "Script command xxxREF.enable not found".

If I replace xxxREF.enable with for example trudyref.enable ( which is already in the vanilla game) the GECK doesn't complain at all.

I have filled out the "reference Editor ID" with xxxREF and the actor is "initially disabled".

 

What am I doing wrong?
