Hey all.

Another FCOM mod question here but its a little different...

I want someone who is familiar with how to install FCOM to live chat with over skype or any other voice/text program.

Installing FCOM is the most complex thing ive ever tried to do to one of my games....and that saying something considering how big my CSS folder used to be.

I have a backup of everything important. I just need someone to help me out here. Im not a moron and i can follow direction well. Im sure it wont take more than 15 minutes.

I have installed mods before....just nothing like this.

Im running windows 7 and have the GOTY steam edition.

Let me know if you can help. Thanks.

This is exactly what you said you didn't want to hear, but it's how you will succeed. You need to read and follow the FAQ's, guides, and tutorials, and other various information to understand and use the mods and utilities you desire. The information is there and it's rather thorough for the most part. All anyone would be doing is repeating information that's already available. What you need to do is dive in and get your feet wet, then come back and ask specific questions as you have them or encounter errors, if and only if, they are not already covered elsewhere. Read the documentation provided, do some research, and try it. That's how we all started, and it's the best way to learn and understand the various processes involved in modding Oblivion, or any other game for that matter. That's the best advice I have for installing mods.

For your question about Qarl's; yes you can use it with any mod. It replaces textures to alternate, higher resolution versions for the specific textures it covers. It will only "conflict" with other texture mods/replacers, but that's not necessarily considered a "bad conflict". It just uses a different texture changing appearance, that's all. To see these type, and other, resource overlaps you should use BAIN as your installation method. BAIN is Wrye BAsh's INstaller, and it's the best available. Hands down.

As for learning Wrye Bash, the Wrye Bash Pictorial Guide for Newbies is about the best available guide out there. I highly recommend you and others follow it until you grasp an understanding, and even then it's still a valuable resource. Use it with the supplied Wrye Bash ReadMe and you'll have basically all the information about Wrye Bash available.

You should also make use of TESIV:POSItive - A very informative and thorough site covering nearly every aspect of Oblivion and the process of modding it.

Good luck.
