jakeharris74
So I had a problem where bodies would stay around permanently, and to figure out which mod was causing it, I just unclicked several mods in the mod manager to not load them and see if bodies would disappear then. I was going to do this to figure out which mod might be the problem.. When I tried to log in , my saved games would error and would not load..fine, alright, so I'll just re-click them in mod manager and reload it... except now the saved games STILL don't load! What's the problem here? Anyone have the slightest idea how to fix it? These mods all worked before, but then when I unclicked several of them to load, even when I start over with them all loading it still errors while loading saved games to the desktop. If I uninstalled/reinstalled Oblivion, would my mods all stay in the directories, and possibly that could solve it? I can start a new game no problem, and play a saved game from the new game no problem, but when I try to play a saved game from my character I've had for 5 months, none of the saves work sad.gif

First thing I would do is look over your mods to see which might cause your body problem. It's probably one dealing with grabing force, or respawn time. Second, I would see what mods you have that are in conflict using Oblivion Mod Manager. My guess is that when you went to re-enable your mods, you selected something you didn't have active before, and this is causing you to crash right now. If you have a mod affecting respawn times for the whole game, this might cause problems depending on how long you've had it running, it may be trying to respawn everything all at once, and overtaxing your system. Without knowing what mods you have running, and what specific situation everything is in, it is hard to really tell you anything more than that. There is always just starting over fresh. Making a new character, or playing a downloaded one can be oddly entertaining.
