LesG
Does anyone know if theres a simple way or mod to restart the game with your current character? I want to redo the quests again with all my cool armour.

All the quest stages ever reached and all the important containers looted would have to be reset... But I don't think your journal can be emptied. NeoNibu
You mean kinda like in Diablo, yea that be cool, but I believe nearly impossible to create a mod for (although I know very little of modding)
Abramul
It would, of course, be fairly simple to just put a chest with all the various stuff you've accumulated (minus quest rewards, prolly) in the chargen cell or outside of the sewer gate, and have a script that sets all your skills, attributes, and level to the same as your old character. For custom enchantments, you'd need to create them in the CS, but that's also relatively easy. Harder would be to duplicate your face. One problem that you will encounter is that Oblivion's .ESSs cannot be loaded in the CS, or so I hear.* *Morrowind's could be by renaming them to <SaveName>.ESP
AltaSilvaPuer
(Note I started typing this all before Abramul posted, so I may have repeated some here. His way seems to involve mod files, though; whereas mine involves direct in-game editing on the fly.) Actually, it would, theoretically, be possible and relatively easy if the cheat commands haven't changed much since Morrowind. What you'd have to do is pull up the construction set and dig through it for all the items and such that you have earned in your first run-through and write down the ID names of all of them. Do the same for any spells you may have obtained. You'll also need to record all of your character's skills and attributes by hand. Then you start a new game, open the console menu (press ~), and use the additem (or whatever it has changed to, if anything) command to give yourself all of your 'old' gear. Use the addspell (or equivalent) command to give yourself all of the old spells you may have had. Then, using whatever the command is for altering skills and attributes (for example, 'setstrength 100' set your Strength to 100 in Morrowind, if I remember correctly; its been a while), to alter your skills and attributes to the point they had been in your previous save, and begin your adventure anew. And I think that covers everything as far as starting the game over with the same character. If I've forgotten anything you'd like to carry from old character to new, tell me, and I'll see if I can't remember/think up a way to accomplish it. -asp
LesG
Yeah, I know I could do it myself with a ton of additem work and a stats/character modifier, but that is a lot of work (I have a *lot of epic gear). Seems to me like it would be pretty simple (from a mod/designer point of view) to just get all of the character, gear/backpack & skills info and then just drop this character into a fresh start quest-wise, or to just reset all the quests in the log back to being unstarted & drop you down in the jail cell at the start. Honestly, I'm surprised someone hasn't already done this. Who wouldn't want to do the game over with all the gear they've worked for? I might post this over in the mod request thread if something doesn't turn up.

Then it won't be that hard. Duplicating the face isn't impossible, but I don't think it can be done through a script. You can use Wrye Bash to transfer a face from save game to save game, from save game to esp and from esp to save game.
SickleYield
Why couldn't you just reset all the quests to their start point? Isn't there a code for that, or is there only the "finish all quests" one?

By the way, for every quest there is a box in the CS saying 'Allow repeating stages' or something like that. If that box isn't ticked, it doesn't matter if you say 'setstage Quest 10', it won't be set to 10 if you already got past that stage. And even with repeatable stages, I don't think you can use them again when the quest has already been completed. Which means the player will have to start an actual new game and somehow transfer the stuff from one safe game to the other. In a limited sense, this has been done for Morrowind. Maybe it would be possible with OBSE... Otherwise, the player will have to use the CS every time he wants to start a new game+ game to place the items their first character had in there I think. And if this would be a real mod the downloader shouldn't have to do all kinds of complicated stuff with the CS; The game should do it for them.
