Oblivion Armors & Weapons

Ok so all I am requesting is if anyone can get content from oblivion into FNV. I dont know how to model or texture so I cannot do that. I cannot find a tutorial good enough to explain it. I cannot use the blende becuase I dont even know how to load up a file or save one with it and I cant use the Gimp to textue becuase there s not a good enough tutorial on it. Just saying if anyone can perfectly explain I would really ove it and give you kudos. I would perfer the Dedric armor or any armor from a oblivion mod if they can.

Well lots of outfits and things cannot be transfered, Mainly since if an outfit uses anything from oblvions vanilla files. Like a texture or mesh then its off-limits by the Nexus admins.

 

However fully custom outfits for Oblivion are fair game (with permission just like if you wanted a Fallout 3 mod)

 

Oblivion used a different skeleton from Fallout so that causes difficulty.

 

But beyond all that its possible, on Fallout 3 nexus there are already some outfits that were ported, I know toxa01 did some for awhile.

Thanks and by the way when I get the armor ingame or the GECK will I have to retexture it or are the textures already on the armor? Edited by Rage912

Hmm well if the armor is complete then it shouldn't need new textures, also you just gave me an idea.

 

You could use armors that rely on oblivion textures. You'd simply have to make a new texture for them, as long as you have permission and that the mesh is custom made.

One problem. How do I convert the armor to NV? Is there agood tut on it? I tried loading up a mesh from the Drake Knight armor mod on oblivion and it came up as a <!>.

The best way to find a tutorial is likey one that is on how to go from Oblivion to Fallout 3, since people would've been more interested in oblivion back then. Then instead of porting to Fallout 3 just use the turorials instructions to port to New Vegas instead.
