Ph33rSn1p4Z Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) Vault 100 Story: Vault 100, one of Vault-Tec's 122 vaults, was built to experiment the toughness of it's inhabitants, and to see if they would be able to be released into the Wasteland. It had enough space to contain 500 people, and over 25 000 animals. It also had around 50 FEV chambers, to mutate the animals and send them into 'arenas' to fight the vault's inhabitants. The vault's inhabitants received either a 10mm pistol or sub-machine gun before entering an arena. Most Wastelanders believe that the Wasteland's creature's came from Vault 100. Of course, like all other vaults, everything went to hell. When a bomb hit the ground above the vault, most of it collapsed, killing the people and freeing the creatures into the Wasteland. The bomb was powerful enough to knock out the vault's main power supply while the vault's blast door was open, giving the creatures a chance to escape. The vault is now sealed, avoiding freeing the other creatures. Description: This is my first ever mod, not anything big like RTS or WMX. But I'm sure there's a few people who will like to try it out. I'd say I'm about 35% done with it, meaning about 4 and a half days of work. AllanOcelot Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 You will need to navmesh yes. then create an npc - go into in search box, search for `settler,' pick one of the NPCS and add him in your cell. The Pip-Boy icon for it exisits, I just need to actually modify the textures.Make it for me (or at least guide me) and you'll get some cookies! kingtitan Posted February 5, 2011 Share Posted February 5, 2011 My feedback doesn't exactly have to do with things you should fix but instead just some things you can consider.First off, this honestly seems like a very promising mod if you keep up the good work. I would suggest trying to get maybe some other modders in the modding community to contribute some work for this mod so that it is still vault 100, but at the same time it mixes other work for a more in depth experience. It seems to me that when modders try to run solo on large projects (and this one certainly does not sound like a small undertaking) they strap themselves dry and get fed up with the project, leaving it either half done or very dull and bland. Your backstory is very creative and I would hate for the vault to be anything less than that!! Also, try to create a balance of the rooms you want to place in your mod. For instance, if you are going to create an "arena" (which, by the way I think is an excellent idea) you might want to consider making holding cells or something of the like. If you ever played Morrowind, I have kind of the Arena in Vivec in mind (although that is only a suggestion and all of it is certainly up to you). Also any other rooms that add a realism to the once thriving "gladatorial" vault.This is really all I can think of for now, but overall I think your mod has a lot of promise. Keep up the good work! I would really love for other people to help me with this, though I'd need to find someone I could trust and who would be willing to help.I also preffer people giving me considerations than people saying "Dat SUCKZ Mai vault iz way bettar then urs and urs is so ugly" xDI'd really love to learn how to model nicely too, so I could maybe make my own creatures; Or I could just search for modded creatures on the nexus. I asked the creator permissions to use it. I just took a look at your models and they're pretty nice. I liked the barrel the most for some reason... And what I need is just a re-texture. It's not a model really. I mostly want a re-texture of the different Vault clothing for Vault 100. Meaning the Jumpsuit, Security Vest the Feral Ghouls have and the other ones (can't remember).
