Walkid
being able to create new player characters and then import them into your party would make it simpler to play as all 3 class types instead of having to play the campaign through again to try them out
DarkeWolf
That would actually be really, really cool. I was just thinking about a mod like this myself a few days ago. There's definitely some serious hurdles that would have to be overcome tho. First how to make the game recognize them as an npc. The second really big one, is that that all the npc's are recognized by filename. CC created toons have really wierd filenames. So for instance, unless somebody created a way to make those custom characters with a filename from a preselected list, it wouldnt show up in the party stage, where you can pick your party. Or know that it's a character that is even supposed to be there. Then of course, they would have to create the custom party picker area as well.Awesome idea tho. Like I said, I thought about something like that too.
Thandal
being able to create new player characters and then import them into your party would make it simpler to play as all 3 class types instead of having to play the campaign through again to try them outWow! Fully implemented, this would make DA more like IWD, where you built your entire Party from scratch! Great idea.
edriano
That would be very cool indeed. . I was thinking the other day to make a mod which I can design the looks, specialization etc of a companion. But quickly sh ruck it of as 'impossible' to do, but perhaps if the many talented moders here would sit downtogether and really put their mind and efforts in to it, it might just be possible. DarkeWolf
About the only way that *I* know of to do those edits to an npc is to edit that character's .utc file, in the toolset.I think that in order to create what you're talking about, a person would need to write a program that can not only read, but edit those .utc files. And then save the new edited file to the override folder. Edited February 13, 2011 by DarkeWolf
