[LE] Put a female body on a male player.

Recommended Posts

This is a really weird topic!

I want my male(nord/human) character to have the CBBE body and face of the females of my game. I would also like to have the male character have access to both male and female skills/bonuses. I don't want every male NPC to do this, so I think it has to be a custom race. I would also like my character to be able to use the female armor for the CBBE body.

If someone could please tell me how to mod this myself or show me a mod that does this already, that would be really nice.

What the male player needs to be able to do (Not NPC's):

- have the female CBBE body and textures

- use female body customization (eyes, hair, tatoos, stuff like that)

- wear the female CBBE armor

- use female animations

- use both gender's skills/bonuses

- have the basic functions of a male (marry a female, etc...)

Thank you for reading.

I apologize, but I am not entirely aware of what you mean by that. As far as I am aware, there are no traits specific to any gender in any race, so if I may ask, why not just play as a female? All marriage partners in Skyrim are actually bisexual, so you do not need to worry about that. Do you want to have the npcs address your character as male? Sorry, just trying to understand.

Address the character as male. Some mods have gender specific traits like sneak or health bonuses, I want to use both of them (might not be possible). Most of the nexus is female armor mods, and I would rather have them on my character instead of a companion.

Basically, just address the character as male, like you said.

This is not oblivion/morrowind where gender influences stats, skyrim is not sexist in any way...except for the loading screens. If you want to have a female body, console nocturnals robes

OP said that some mods did have gender specific traits. As for the possibility of all this, however, it seemingly would take quite a bit of effort. Each item entry in the game calls for a male version of the model and a female version. You could make a race which would use the same base model for both genders, but as soon as you put on a piece of armor or clothing, it would load the male version of it. The only way to get around this (I think, there might be some way to do it with scripts), would be to duplicate every item entry and make a version that only uses the female version of the model, but even then, the items you find out in the wild would be the vanilla ones, and would not work correctly.

So a race with a male character and female body would cause conflicts with armor? If I needed to, how do I make new textures and entities for the armor to pair with the race?

Is there no way to make the people of Skyrim identify my character as male, but have the game use the female entities?

Like make a female character, but have the NPC's refer to my character as a male?

You would not actually need to make any new textures or meshes or anything, you would just need to tell the game how to use them correctly in the Creation Kit. This is not very easy, however, because the variable that the game looks at to determine what model to use on the player for the armor and what line of dialogue to use when gender is addressed in it is the same. Meaning, that if the game identifies the player as a male in one instance(dialogue), it will identify the player as a male in all other instances(model used, etc.) Because of this, there is no easy way around that from what I can tell. You could make a new race where the model for the race is the same for both genders, but that will not work for clothing, because when you put on clothing in Skyrim, that model gets loaded instead of the model for the body part that it is covering. Since your character would still be male, it would look at that and say that it needs to load the male version of whatever armor you are putting on. A way around this is to make the race, as I said above, and duplicate every piece of armor in the game, and change the path to the male version of the armor to make it the female version. Doing this for EVERY piece of armor in the game would be VERY time consuming, and ultimately probably not worth it, because even if you did that, the armor you would find in the world would still be the vanilla type. What you could do is only create versions of the armor that you want to use, and place them in a place you can find them in game. This explanation is getting long, so PM me if you want to actually do that, I can detail how

I could think of a few ways to do it, but it would involve essentially doing it to EVERY male character of the specific race you do it for. You could circumvent this by making a custom race with the buffs you want I suppose, and just use female textures instead of male textures, or more easily, just giving the race the buffs a male whatever would get from the mod so you can pick a female.

This is actually simple, just type in the console sexchange. Male character with a female body.

There are times when gender does matter, the bonus you can from Dibella deals more damage to the opposite sex.

That still leaves the male player head though. It also makes all of skyrim address the character as female.
