Fatalmasterpiece
Is it possible to have two installations, say for testing out mods or would Steam interfere with this? Sorry if this violates Eula somehow but I didn't find it anywhere.
micalov
You cant have dual installations with out bypassing steam using a crack ect, so kind of does break the EULA.
Fatalmasterpiece
Darn, I don't want to by pass steam or anything else illegal. Just want a way to test out large mods without adjusting my existing load order and data files. I guess just copy and pasting the data folder might work? Paxan_1
Hi,i was trying the same. I've copied the steam installation from "SteamApps\common\fallout new vegas" to another folder. After reinstalling Steam and a clean install of NV the copy is working. The "problem" is that it is using the settings in your "own directories" (save games, settings aso.). So if you wont have changes to any settings there it is working. I used it to transfer my NV to another harddrive. Try it, maybe it is working for you too. Don't use some of this s*** you can find in the internet, you never know what it is doing and if you ask me it isn't worth the risk.Btw, my copy of NV needs steam as the one in the original folder. I'm not sure which one i'm playing if i start the copy but if i start the right save i have a clean play without any mods and "problems" ;) . Fatalmasterpiece
Servus, that is a great suggestion. I will try that later and hope it works. Ich finde Deutschen sind immer so hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank
urbex
You'll get load order issues as it's stored in the registry.
