It just occurred to me that there has been zero discussion about Ron Perlman's role in Fallout 4. Sure, we heard his voice in both the teaser and gameplay presentation as the reporter, but so far, there's no indication of what sort of role he plays in the game. But of course, it wouldn't make any sense for him, as a triple A actor, to play some nameless reporter. I'm speculating that his character will play a (semi)significant role in the game, maybe he'll run the Galaxy News Network we got to see in the teaser trailer.

Or maybe:

Jerry Seinfeld voiced a turkey for Southpark, and that was mostly just angry gobbling. Patrick Stewart voiced the Emperor at the start of Oblivion and had no further lines. When it comes to voice actor work, it doesn't need to be a big part for a big name, it often is either someone who is a fan of the series who wants to lend their voice, or just because that voice was needed to fit a certain quality they wanted to push. I would imagine that it would actually be easier to get big names for only a few lines just because it can be done in a single session and doesn't require much additional involvement by the actor.

Ron Perlman has done the introduction narration for all of the Fallout games to date, except Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, and did the voice of only one in-game character, Butch Harris, in the original Fallout game. Looking at that, I do not see a reason for him to have a bigger part in the game, unless there was a character that caught his attention, and he had the interest and time to do the voice work for. Like everything else about Fallout 4, I am still taking a "wait and see" attitude towards it. That said, it would be nice if Ron did have a bigger part this time around. :)
