MOD Request: Remove most (or all) fast travel signposts

I realize not everyone will like this.

 

But with this game I'm always wanting to get more and more immersed... and I just love the idea of a long journey to prepare for, or the concept of a long, grueling quest with no towns or people nearby until I come through to the other side.

 

Honestly, I could live with none at all, or just a few, key signposts needed for world map travel.

Or.. You could just ignore the signposts and travel manually?

I was wondering about this too, actually. Sure you can ignore them, but a mod that removes them would be great.

There is a mod called Long Journey which implements something like that. I made an extended version and it does exactly what you want (hides most signposts from the map), check the mod comments for the link. Unfortunately the author has left modding so I can't get his permission and publish the extended version on Nexus

I've been active on the Skyrim forums for years and have been constantly blown away by how helpful the modding community is there. This modding community is turning out to be just as awesome! Cheers DJ_Kovrik
