Chasing down escaped supermutants under a new effective leader who wants to creates new Vats of FEV in the area to set himself up as the new master .2 . Scouting ahead to look what the legion is facing and if it will be feacable to either reach an acomadation with them ( if you help the legion in the main quests) or weaken them as much as possible for a surprise attack when they have attack the dam from the rear (when you are playing for one of the other factions ).3. Setting up a spy network for an upcoming conquest / expansion and or trying to buy time until the NCR expands to their borders in order to build up their forces and material by hitting supply caravans and assasinating strategic persons ( quartermasters , medics maybe even a new ambassador to NW), disrupting trade deals and generally being a pain in the ass ( this route maybe only unlocked if you have bad karma ) 4. Investigating rumors of Enclave activities in the region, this would be backed up by the remnant bunker and arcade . Maybe a secret enclave research lab under new Vegas , hidden right under Mr house nose ( maybe he has connections to them ) . I would like to offer my help with quest text, story etc. havent used the GECK all that much I am afraid but I have done a few campaigns for other games (especially Freespace SCP). PM me or something or post here and I will offer what help I can also write quests if you choose a story line or more since I think that would make the mod a lot better with a solid story line. How about, if you follow through with the "become Mid-West Elder" storyline, this can potentially lead to a Mid-West ending of the game at the Hoover Dam finale? Like, the Mid-West shows up towards the end of the Legion/NCR battle, mops up the survivors, and claims the Hoover Dam for the Brotherhood? DrakenGuard Posted February 9, 2011 Author Share Posted February 9, 2011 Just a link to the Brotherhood of Steel Known Ranks in General to be used as part of the Initiation into the Brotherhood. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brotherhood_of_Steel_ranks I can see in the New Vegas GECK has similar Rank systems based of the original Ranks that are used in The Oblivion Guild ranks like the Dark brotherhood, Fighter's Guild etc. If you have modded Oblivion or atleast played it, you would understnad what I am on about. As for the whole Background story concept, all details are being taken into account.I just need to go over this wealth of information and go through it. Say that your part of the midwest BoS and you go to jacob's town for the first time? You meet a Super Mutant who is fed up with the life style in the town. hes a friendly sort and he is part of a small group of muties unhappy with life. So you talk to him, say where your from and who your with, tell him about the MBoS and they recruit mutoes. The Mutie like sthe idea but is too afraid to check it out due to the Nightstalkers hanging abput and the trouble with the Mercs. So after you done those two missions for Marcus, you talk to the Super Mutant again, tell him the problems have been delt with and inform him he is free to check out the Bunker. So, say two days later, you return to the Bunker and find him and 3 or so others intrigued what is going on here, you talk to him again about what he thinks of it, he is still unsure about joining up so you tell him about the perks of membership and also, you get to try to pursuade him with a speech check of 70 or so skill. If you pass, he will join up aswell pursudae the other muties. Another 3 days later you will see him in a special type of Mutant outfit designed for Super Mutant BoS Members ( C.I.B has a ton of free Super Mutant model resources if you not seen it, so I will find a suitable outfit and retexture it. I also asked C.I.B if he could do a MIdwest Super Mutant style Power armor for Muties.) he said he like the idea but is very busy Bit will consider it in the futre witch will seem likely he said) Anyways...He and the other muties will thank you for this life changing experience, give you some caps as a gesture of thanks and also will refer to you as "Brother" as well. Hell might even throw one of them as a possible Companion/Squad member? Thats a good idea right? And would anybody be interested in Voicing this Super Mutant in question? diceman111 Posted February 10, 2011 Share Posted February 10, 2011 Ok so Here is an indroductionary quest suggestion, securing a source of food for an expansion of the bunker/brotherhood in the area, note that this is only the first quest in a quest line and I wrote it on my smartphone qhen i was ridding the train the other day so its prob full of spelling mistakes. Stage 0 in the questline no food production only the basic supply in the base and what the Int section buys in its travels Quest : We need to start a smaller outpost or base in order for our main bunker to remain hidden , we need to acquire a small or medium ranch with a barn a house, this in order for us to be a le to increase it to producing ammunition and such in the future , take these funds ( say 5000 caps) and purchase a ranch preferably leagaly or if you boot some bandits out of one but we need the goodwill and not seen as dangerous stranger that makes ppl ask to many questions until we are strong atleast, talk with colonel tyson (int) about possible leads . Colonel Tyson : P: do you ha e any leads on suitable farms in the area ? Yes I do , we have two that are just about the right distance from here and the right size , however both have their unique problems .something told me this want going to be as easy as just go out and buy a farm quite right , now the season farmh is owned by the steadsons and they are an old couple that is related to some big ranches out west in the NCR that makes it an unacceptable risk to simply have them assassinated since it would.most likely bring in the NCR asking questions, they might however be persuaded to sell even though the funds you where given might not be enough you might be able to talk them down on the price or add your own money however we are rather strapped for funds right now so you will have to pay fpr it yourself . ok and the other farm ? the black hole ranch is a place to the southeast where a group of fiends I believe they call themselves are holed up , our scout that we sent out to reconsider the place came under fire even when he was very far off from the house , luckily he only got a burn on his thigh from a plasma bolt ,this indicate that they have either high tech pre war detection gear or are very dangerous and skilled , since they seem rather content to sit tight and only attack the vocational caravan we have seen no reason to attack the farm with heavier forces dice they weren't a threat even if they ares relatively close , even if you take care of the Fiends you will have to buy materials to repair the farm . Steadssson Farm Quest Line: you arrive and speak with stead Steadssson and start talking about the farm , here you find out that he and the wife has been thinking about moving to new Vegas and buy a suite I. the white glove society , when you say that you want to buy the farm he says that he would be willing to sell but you would hdwve to work out a deal with the Ultra Lux. At The Ultra Lux : you speak with the man at the reception and ask about buying a room , you are told that that is only reserved dfor their most elite guest ( here you must either pass a speech check or have busted the bank and or completed the white glove society quest ) then you a wire told this will coerce 15000 but with a barter check you can lower it to 12000, after this you have to return to the farm , At the Steadssson farm : you once again tqlk to stead Steadssson and you are informed that they are now willing to sell the farm for the.cost of the room at.the ultra Lux unless tpu pass a speech / barter check I. which case you will only have to pay half the amount . Such as capturing Deathclaws and using mind control devises like the Enclave back east used,or wiping out a Cazador nest to secure larvae to use as guard bugs, or in battle. Perhaps capture a robot manufacturing plant inorder to use robots and the player only able to recruit certain models based on current level:Lvl. 1-5:Eyebot 6-10:Protectetron/Mr. Handy 11-15:Mr.Gutsy !6-20:Securatron Mk1/Hardened Mr.Gutsy 21-25:Sentry Bot 26-30:Hardened Sentry Bot/Securatron Mk2 Edited February 11, 2011 by CobaltAvenger Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
