Need help with getting the resolution to display correctly

Lately I've been using a VGA adapter to use my 360 on my LCD monitor which has a native resolution of 1280x1024. I have the resolution set as 1280x1024 in the system settings for the 360 and other games such as DoA4 and Burnout Revenge look absolutely gorgeous. However, Oblivion, it appears, is not displaying at 1280x1024. As you may know when you run a LCD monitor on a resolution other than its native resolution extrapolation causes your image to appear extremely blurry and pixelated. This is what Oblivion looks like. It appears as though the screen resolution is 480p being stretched to fit at 1280x1024.

Does anyone know the cause of this and any possible solution?

If I had to guess..? I'd say that the 360 version of Oblivion doesn't support that resolution. Try turning down your res when you play this game, since it apparently wasn't intended to be run that way on a 360.

Anyway, I know next to nothing about most console systems these days, so that's just shooting from the hip on my part.

The problem with that though is if I lower the resolution to one it does support it will still look terrible because of the native resolution of my LCD.
