Fort Darius has been moved outside of Whiterun in order to have more space (and in respect of Jarl Barlgruuf's choice of not having Imperial Legion troops inside lorewise). Neitherless, the Empire does not want to risk losing their main trading center in Skyrim, and their main foothold, along with Solitude, in the Province. This is where the VII Legion trains its troops, has its garrison, and conducts regular attacks against the Stormcloaks. They will be dynamic over the course of the Civil War, indipendently if you decide to side with the Empire or not. They will take part in the defense of Whiterun, and many will be signed by what happened. What do I mean? As an example, you'll notice the commander literally missing an eye, but still alive and kicking rebel butt.

Fort Darius also serves as a sort of working ground for all the new NPCs added into Whiterun (each city and town modified by me will have unique locations added by me with different functionalities).

Fort Darius at the moment will offer the opportunity to see a newly styled Legion, based on Morrowind's depiction of it. You will see troopers train for the war, hear their fears, hear their commander yell at them and see them drill all day long before being sent to battle. The Fort Prefect, encharged with amministration and training is Knight Commander Maximus Debrianus, voiced by LoBeard, who will act like a close friend to the Dragonborn if he decides to join with the Empire. They will join in activities together, like sparring, going to eat and drink together, going to the brothel or otherwise, just allowing the player to spend some time with someone who feels real. Everything is a prelude of a submod of mine, part of Romantic Factions: Imperial Legion.

The concept of the new Imperial Legion prelude mod is heavily inspired by how the US Marines conduct their training.

Yes I know, I played Morrowind with the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions, and I'm aware of the rumors about the Indoril in Oblivion.

However, both UESP and Imperial Library articles are on the line that while the House did suffer a crippling hit, it wasn't enough to make it disappear.

Their district in Whiterun is just recently built, by refugees coming from Morrowind after the Red Year. Barlgruuf's father, granted them the honor to name their own district as they saw fit, as they contributed to the city (as farmers, workers, intelectuals etc).

Thanks. I was interested in the rationale behind the direction that you're taking this. I look forward to seeing it in action.

New Riverwood Layout https://www.dropbox.com/s/24zsjspk30wlbm7/1wrprimaa.jpeg?dl=0

I need modelers for new models both for Falkreath and Markarth. Since Falkreath has a deep Bond with nature, I thought about something like this, with three variations and some modular parts.

Currently the mod improves everything in Whiterun Hold.

It adds Darkmoor, Fort Darius, Bleak Fall Mine (a mine in Riverwood with access to the ruins above through a secret passage), it overhauls Riverwood, adding new NPCs, quests, and interactions. Player can buy a farm, have cattle, chickens and a farmland (everything buyable from the Riverwood Merchant), likewise Bert, Alvor's brother, will offer you a job in the mine. The pack is not modular, as it has dependencies. An NPC in Whiterun now will actively go to Riverwood or Darkmoor, spend the day there, work, eat or buy material to to carry back at home.
