As far as jesters go there not really my thing :pirate: ..the only reason I might put them in game is with the sole purpose of killing them to stick there heads on spikes on one of the gatehouses.

Now you need to make a courtyard with pikes holding bodies all over it, so you can eat under it.

 

I mean who wouldn't want to consume their meals, right under the dripping corpses of all who oppose you?

oh btw what if you put a little military aspect in it. now hear me out you can create your small forces and have them attack nearby places like bandit camps and caves ect.

for example these would be the things you can do.

 

Hire followers making them commanders. each comander have 5 soldiers and an inventory customizable. up to 3 or 4 commanders can be hired to fight.

stock the soldiers armory with weapons and armor that they wear during raids. you could set the armory to give the soldiers deadric armor or anything and you'll see them wear it while marching to a location.

a war table can be added with you commanders standing near it you can look at your map and send them to locations you've been to and cleared (minus dragons of course) and when you assign them to a place they leave the room and wont come back until the job is done. if they die the soldiers return and a new spot opens up for a new commander. (i hate follower death)

whenever they return you can either gain 2500 gold for everyones safe return and a randon enchanted weapon or -500 for each soldier dead. (gives the whole arming your soldiers a better feel when they return)

 

this could be a good add to the castle theme youre working on it would give it a more building an empire feel :)

What do you mean by above the castle? Do you mean from a tower or a birds eye view?

Ill post up some more interior pics soon as I get my lighting issue resolved..I think I'm going to have to call in some higher powers to fix it.

 

The first release is just going to be the lite version (just finished castle and npcs). The full version will have an extensive quest line that involves rebuilding the castle, fighting bandits in your territory building farms etc in the first release.

The second release will involve conquering the reach taking forts, strongholds, and eventually markarth.

The third release will involve the thalmor and the taking Jeanna.

 

The reason I will be releasing it in installments like this is that it makes goals easier to maintain and it allows those using the mod to remain intrested between updates. So rather than waiting say 8 months for everything to be finished you just wait a month or two between releases.

 

And about voice acting I still have to write a lot of dialog as each npc will have a backstory and hopefully will be much more interactive than their vanilla counterparts. Just as a note though this dialog will not be available in the lite version mainly because it's unlocked by quest. If your wondering just how much dialog will be added each character will have 100-200 lines for minor roles such as the servents around the castle. And upwards of 500 lines for the more important characters. So around 5,000-15,000 lines of dialog (at least thats the plan) after the hell of making all that dialog then I'll have to find appropriate voice actors..and I'm going to be very picky about the quality ;)

Thanks :cool: took me about 6 hours longer than I planned to make that chair.. Now I just have to make about 6 more with the same quality..or better :geek:

 

Yeah It covers a lot of space but most of it is just walls and empty space (like a real castle) after all it's made for defense not as a palace.
