Imatelevision
I'm literally drooling. No, really, drooling. I need a new keyboard
melancholyroar
What of mages quarters? And what mesh/model did you use for the throne? Noble furniture?
Tlaffoon
Just wait till I actually get it finished  The mage quarters are currently in the crypts below the keep; though I have thought about adding a new building for them. The current throne is a model from storti's furniture pack that I edited a bit..but I'm going to probably build a new one that's more to snuff...maybe stone maybe wood but it will have a wolf theme going either way. Pretty much all the furniture will be custom made.
melancholyroar
This is awesome to hear. Is it sad that Ive put off playing so I can make a character just for this mod?
Tlaffoon
I don't think I'd put off playing completely till this is ready  since it's just Joshuaadriel and I working on the quest and dialog at the moment..and this mod is comparative (if not greater) in scope than a DLC it will take awhile. Not to mention I'm currently the only moddler and I have to make the entire city of Jehanna after I finish making this castle and a few more besides, but I will be using some vanilla models and other authors work for some places, I just have a vision in mind for the city and a few nobles keeps :woot:. I hope it will be worthy of a new game when I finish it though. As a side note I have to go back to that hell hole known as college in a week so development will slow down for a time while I'm there. But I should be able to get a release out soon regardless (1.5-3 weeks). After I get the lite version released hopefully I can get the first quest version up in 2 months. Probably a month or two for the second extension the third one will take the longest however since it will include the land of Jehanna which will include two player homes (a small countryside castle and the keep in Jehanna). Also the mod will require Dawnguard since I want crossbows. I might make it compatible with hearthfire unless I have to use it for the child I'm going to include, but I don't think it will since he will run on a different set up. melancholyroar
Wow! I had no idea you were making a whole player town. It would be awesome if somehow you could get ahold of the meshes and textures for High Rock from the Beyond Skyrim team. Im really looking forward to the release but will probably start the new character at the release of the lite version.
Tlaffoon
Its more like a whole player city :ninja: I don't want to say too much about it right now since I haven't begun developing it yet. Though I can tell you it will be custom made by yours truly, and since i'm rather anal about everything being useful all the walls and towers will be navigable without load doors..I don't think the beyond skyrim project would want to share assets with me as it would take away from the uniqueness of their project. However my city will be on scale with theirs. :D
DragonKing7
XD anal..... but honestly the mages quarter will be in a crypt? why not have some hidden entrance in the torture room (you know theres a torture room) so you can make going to the crypt so much easier. plus i was wondering if you could make a few vampire npc to stay in there with you to help in ur expiraments lol you know its legit since its the only place they can stay without being harmed by humans. lol you can have a garden near the tomb for alchemy n maybe a coffin that regularely spawns items like human meat n heat oh n maybe a deadra heart once in a while. you go in through a passage behind said coffin n go down the torch filled stairway where your greeted by the head vamp of 3. in the middle could be some sort of well or something awesome to get ur attention. to your left could be the vamps living quarters along with a kitchen. n your right could be the alchemy n enchanting stations with a display room for weapons n armor you make. n idk it should be pretty big put stuff in lol. melancholyroar
I dont think thats the vibe hes going for Dragon, seems to me hes trying to recreate an authentic medieval atmosphere. I would even be so bold to say that the 'mages quarters' more likely would be reflective of an apothecary's quarters.
Tlaffoon
You are correct melancholyroar. The Mage quarters (if I leave them in the crypts) will be relatively simple and hopefully aesthetically pleasing. Including a small hall, rooms for the lesser mages, and a bigger apartment for the high Mage. I'm trying to keep everything practical. If you ask yourself the question "would this be in a real castle" and the answer is no then most likely it won't be here ;)I'm sticking to the whole game of thrones feeling in the castle.
