Mod Team Request: The King of the Strip

I, for one, am disappointed that there's a mod that lets you officially join the NCR military (not on the Nexus), a mod that lets you command Caesar's Legion troops, mods that let you reap the benefits of joining the Brotherhood of Steel, and even some mods that bring back the Enclave and let you join them... but there's no mod that lets you feel like you really are Mr. House's protege, or the man who conquered New Vegas with the help of Yes Man.

 

Mr. House basically says that with Benny gone, he wants you to replace him as his go-to guy. And yet, the Omertas still treat you like crap, the White Glove Society still won't tell you anything about anything, and only the Chairmen show you love. Sure, you get to stay in the Lucky 38, but you're practically by yourself (except for your Companions) and still feel like a complete outsider.

 

With Yes Man, you kill Mr. House and have basically conquered New Vegas. But you still don't get to command the Securitrons (unless you count the final battle at the Hoover Dam), and the same as the above, you still feel like some Freeside wash-up instead of the king of sin city. Why is that? Why did you conquer New Vegas, and yet the only one who sucks up to you is Yes Man?

 

This isn't as much as a request for a mod as it is a request for a mod team. I admit, my modding skills are mediocre at best, but I've got a track record of fairly decent voice acting under my belt for different games.

 

WHAT THIS MOD AIMS TO DO:

• Make you feel like a true New Vegas socialite while doing the Wild Card/House Always Wins arc.
  
• Provide tangible (and better) rewards for having a high reputation with the Strip, the White Glove Society, and Freeside.
  
• Use House's influence (or your own if doing the Wild Card path) to change and enforce the policies of the Strip
  
• Likewise, use your influence to clean up - or conquer - Freeside.
  
• Form trade partnerships, alliances, or enemies with other tribes similar to that in other mods.
  
• Make the big bucks by collecting revenue from the Tops, the Ultra-Luxe, and Gomorrah.
  
• Command the Securitrons as if they truly are your personal army, with the option to build and upgrade more with different parts found throughout the Wasteland.
  

 

 

What I Need:

• I need some scripters for the quests and dialogue. I also need someone who can code a usable item that summons non-essential Securitrons.
  
• I need someone who is skilled enough with the G.E.C.K. to populate places like the Lucky 38 Casino and Lounge. I might also need someone who can make custom interiors for new floors, depending on whether or not this would interest anyone. I don't think we particularly NEED a new Presidential Suite, since there's a ton of those already on the Nexus. But we should make compatibility patches for those, should their respective modders be up for it.
  
• I need people to script new instances that can permanently affect the environment, such as a quest to exterminate Freeside Thugs once and for all, a quest to provide donations to feed the people of Freeside, and someone who would be able to code relationships with tribes such as the Boomers and the Powder Gangers. Maybe even some benefits for doing so, like Boomer artillery strikes and Powder Ganger raids.
  
• I need somebody to code new Reputations for the Omertas and the Chairmen, and respective rewards for this.
  
• Voice Actors, for later on. I can voice act myself. But this should come much, much later, after the rest is done.
  

 

Basically, what I need are scripters and people capable of making new environments. We shouldn't have any need for new models, as everything should be able to be pulled from the Vanilla game.

 

Yes, I know this is ambitious. I'm not even going to be the leader of the mod team, because this would be way too massive of a project for me to handle on my own with my current life. But if anyone wants in, shoot me a PM, or reply to this thread.

I'm noit mkuch good iwth modding but you should contact PaladinRider and Omega549 They're working oan a project lie this starting with the Lucky 38. Apostate has also done a mod where you can controle your own faction. You should see them about this idea.

Omega is actually away from modding for a bit. I talked to him earlier about possibly teaming up with me for something a little less extreme. Not that i don't love your idea, because i completely agree with the intention; it's just that DOES need a team, and it does need people who are dedicated and are skilled.

 

I'm still looking for help with my mod :/

 

I prefer teamwork and conversing with other creative minds...
