Combining Meshes

I've been using the tailor maid mod and some of the items I want to equip they remove others and after checking on the GECK they use the same body part. I have never used mesh making/ editing software so is there a way to combine the meshes into one?

That sounds complicated. Initially you just open two instances in nifskope and then copy the NiTriStrips you want via rightclick on it, block and copy branch(or simply ctrl+c). After that either save it as is and be done or save it under a new name and add it to the .esp via the geck.

If you need to find out the names of the items in the geck, you can use tessnip, which comes with fomm. Geck tutorials there are i believe plentifull out there. Should be no biggie for you to figure it out.
