lgpmichael
Does anyone know of a way to change the range of missile weapons? Specifically, it seems that NPC's on the ground are unable to actually hit people on city/castle walls, and people on the walls are unwilling to shoot at people on the ground outside, they just mill around shouting 'This ends here!' when obviously, it doesn't {:-). I don't think that it is an issue of line of sight, as they notice each other and go into 'combat mode'. though I'd also welcome ideas as to how to increase the range an NPC spots an enemy, so archers can start firing as enemies are coming towards the wall... Im happy to provide some kind of customised weapons to the NPC's in question for the purpose, but cannot see a way to change this...
whalecakes
I imagine you'd have to change the ranged combat distance settings for all the combat styles.
lgpmichael
I imagine you'd have to change the ranged combat distance settings for all the combat styles. Awesome, you are a hero, I had no idea it was possible to add new combat styles in. A quick search, now you mention it is possible to do, and I see a whole new world of possibilities there - thanks. This may be EXACTLY what I need.

This may be EXACTLY what I need. This does the job perfectly. For the mod in hand I have the ability to control all of the combat styles, so, job done, they can now fire onto and over the castle walls. Now the problem that remains is - they still only notice an enemy from a range much shorter than they can shoot at. Once they see the enemy, they back away firing arrows. Now I just need to find a way to increase their spotting range {:-) Thanks again (and solutions welcome from anyone who knows offhand how to increase notice range as googling isn't helping much {:-)
